HIBACHI-STYLE COOKING MEETS MICHOACÁN FLAVORS
Hibachi-style cooking meets the bold flavors of Michoacán 🌮🔥
Descanso Restaurant recently celebrated one year in Los Angeles this January, and it’s the kind of place that turns dinner into a full-on experience. Founded by Rob Arellano and led by Executive Chef Sergio Lopez, the concept is inspired by the vibrant culinary traditions of Michoacán, Mexico.
You can dine two ways here:
✨ Traditional dining, where you order from the full menu
🔥 Plancha Dining, an immersive experience where Planchero chefs prepare a lively multi-course meal right in front of you at a communal table.
The menu celebrates fresh seasonal ingredients, sustainable seafood, and bold regional flavors. Some standout dishes include:
• Tacos de Birria
• Carnitas Skillets
• Pulpo Zarandeado
• Pozole Rojo
• Paraiso Huachinango
The bar program is just as strong, featuring handcrafted margaritas, premium tequilas and mezcals, and signature cocktails like the Bad Hombre and El Descanso.
