  1. The original "Ray's" was on 11th st and 6th ave on the NW corner. Long since closed every Ray's now does not compare to the original.

  2. You should do a reverse on this concept of … Is this for New York Snobs πŸ˜‚
When I was in NYC so many New Yorkers would recommend places and it was more NYC Snobs who think they know food, but never left NY so they had nothing to compare it to.

Ummmm like 95% of the pizza recommendations πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

But do the twist. The reverse

  3. Gallaghers lunch special is solid usaly get it a few times year. Last year it was 25 now its 30 but still a solid meal.

  4. If the food is good, it is not a tourist trap – that is my definition. Places can be touristy but unless they are charging high prices for bad food then it is not a trap.

  5. Also not sure about now but Serendipity was on E 60th Street between 2nd and 3rd near Bloomingdale's – much less touristy than Times Square

  6. Felt so sorry for you for the first pizza, but great that you finished on a good one! And Jon, you are 41?! You look so young!!

  7. The real original Ray's Pizza which was in the Village on 6th Ave, hasn't been around since the late 80s or early 90s I think. The remaining ones with the name have it through some kind of convoluted court battle Can't believe tourists are going there.

  8. Swerve the time out place and try Dumbo Market, really nice sandwiches and a ridiculous choice of drinks, then somewhere to sit and eat as well

  9. We stayed at the Element Times square West– and I was glad to find this nice little ramen place on side street a block or 2 away that was much more of local vibes and very reasonable.

  10. coming again on the 27th of march and we are deffo going to give Gallagher's a go ….thanks Jon

  11. Wait people eat at TimeOut market?? I just thought people went their for the free clean public restrooms

  12. cmon man, how many ads are you and youtube going to show us? 2 at the start, then you through your sponsored ad at 6 min into the video, right after 2 more youtube ads, not even 6 mins in.

  13. The ice cream place looked very pladticy everything looked incredibly processed and low quality.

But I feel like plastic whip cream might be the norm in the USA, not sure!

  14. I love Gallagher's, and so do out-of-town family members I bring here for lunch. You can't beat that lunch deal. As for Margaritaville, you won't catch me dead in one of those places, but those nachos actually looked OK, and enough to feed two. So you could do a lot worse in Times Square.

  15. I must say having visited all these places as a tourist, I agree with you Jon 100% on the list.
