Stonegate are useless , ruin pubs, overcharge there drinks. They blame everything except the colour of the sky. Chopping walls down to make them look and feel like a student union. Overpriced for food that is only microwaved food from a wholesaler. I could go on, but they are not worth it. I used a pub for over 50 years, every day, lunch and evening, Stonegate took it over and have ruined it , I do not go there at all now. Have popped in but nobody else is there either.
Mcdonalds have always been crap. Pizza Express have always been appalling value for money. I have stopped all take-away meals, because I will not pay delivery fees, I can cook, so I do saving £35-£40 per week.
I have never really understood going out for a "Pizza". Ok if they were cheap and good but they are not. It is so easy to cook a good Pizza at home and you can add your own choice toppings and at a fraction of the price. Anyway if people are stupid enough to pay these prices the food chains are just going to keep taking your money. Don't moan just do not go to them nobody is forcing you to go.
I stopped all take aways and switch to a meal subscription service , much better..
