My mom/caretakers made it well done when we made steak so now everything not well done feels raw, plus it gives me mad sensory issues. I fear i can't order steaks in any restaurant ever

Loved this video! I was recently diagnosed with anemia and a big part of my solution to that has been steak (the horror lol!). I’m a very good cook, I have made some pretty damn decent steaks, but I was definitely making a couple of these mistakes in hindsight. Tons of great info here, really going to up my game! Got a big delivery of meat coming next week, looking forward to trying some of these tips out!

Can use normal salt, pepper can get a burnt taste I would pepper it at the end personally.

I think there’s terminology error. Caramelization is the sugar, what you see on steak is mostly Maillard reaction.
