   Enoteca Maria is a restaurant in New York City founded in 2007 by Joe Scaravella. It is known for inviting grandmothers from around the world to cook traditional home recipes instead of hiring professional chefs.

   Each day, a different grandmother prepares dishes from her culture, causing the menu to change daily. The restaurant was created to preserve family cooking traditions and provide older women a place to share their culinary heritage.
