i love and appreciate this video so much!! I have been neglecting the different foods because I just don't know it and scared to go. After watching this, I want to search for them in my area (Vancouver, Canada) and go try them. This inspired me 🙂 thank you! ps: I would totally go to all the restaurants you visited if I lived there.
For the Guatemalan soup dish, you usually add the rice and other stuff into the soup along with the lime juice. It’s sooooo good! Then you grab your tortilla and dunk it in the soup to get a little wet and eat it along with the soup.
Hole-in-the-wall restaurants always have either the absolute best or the absolute worst food. Happy to see the ones you found here are among the former.
african food is slept on. i've had nigerian food before and i enjoyed it. i think my only thing was that if i had known the seafood i got would be bone-in fish, i would have picked the beef option. i've never deboned a fish and did a poor job of it 😂 but it is very good and i do highly recommend it. fufu texture is unmatched.
Other than word of mouth, I think a good way to get your friends to try all these different cuisines would be to host a potluck style party and have a tray every restaurant. Your friends can also bring a tray from their mom & pop restaurant of choice !
7:20 That food looks really good. However I cannot support a General Tso's bereft of chilis. This scourge must be nipped in the bud. I have only seen it a few times but it must not stand. General Tso's is mildly to moderately spicy because of the chilis. It is one of a few things the classic Chinese American dish retains from the original dish General Tso would have had. Granted his version was not sweet as I understand, but by God it had peppers in it. And I want mine with peppers, too. Otherwise you're having sweet and sour chicken or something.
Bro if you ask for a recommendation in an empty restaurant you are just going to get whatever they made hours ago or whatever is the easiest to make 🤦♂️
Thanks for visiting our restaurant it means a lot. Ever since my dad passed away we have been struggling but my mom doesn't want to give up. Your support gives us strength to hustle every day.❤❤
I love how you step outside of your comfort zone and do yhis, only to find 5 amazing restaurants. Love it. I'm ready to try fufu with a nice dish to eat it with❤❤❤
I love videos showcasing and supporting small family businesses and especially immigrants and their food so like def keep it up <3 Like the best locations with the best traffic go to the rich mega-corporations, so it's nice to see people being proud of their food and sharing their cultures!

If you're seeing an asian restaurant that looks empty but has decent ratings, it's because most of the customers are getting take aways.
I hope I check back in a month and all these restaurants have lines out the door❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
