Awesome Cooking Weights
These are from The Chefs Press. This not an ad, I bought them at Knifewear.
They are awesome because:
-They are dishwasher friendly
-They can stack
-They can be staggered
-They have slots and cutouts, which allow for steam to escape
-come in multiple sizes

I just run my steaks through the planer a few times
Chef presses are expensive as fook! As others said, brick works well. I personally bought restaurant burger weights for cheap
My weight is about 100 years old, cast iron and about 2lbs…
What's the metal thing sticking out of the steak?
I usually just stand on the steak with my feet to increase the contact. I am from india.
might need a little bit more pistachio
You can also just sit on it
I use a cast iron burger press i got thrifting.
Its beautiful.
Flatting it with with brick should do the trick
Just put the fries in the bag bro
use a foil wrapped plate
In what situation does a steak not lay flat on a pan
Those have been sold out since November 😢
Never had to use a weight and get some great crust. I also cut my own steaks, brine, and use a light bit of fine salt for a catalyst to help the heat and oil. I mostly just don't like weights as over the years I've noticed it makes them less tender, a weight for a moment is fine till the tissue tightens but leaving them on reduces the tissue breakdown and pocketing which leads to it being less tender.
Buy this product in case you use the wrong pan or your butcher sucks*
Love my chef presses, but I wish they were a tad cheaper, nearly 20-30 per is a little wacky for a weight
I just use my gym plates the bacteria makes it taste better 👍🏿
Yeah but at the end im still eating it. So. Less is more they say.
why youre using a spatula to flip the steak when you had tongs in your left hand infuriates me
Why are you using that pot to fry a steak 😂
