Only Eating at British Fast Food Chains for a Day
Today I’m running around London only eating fast food chains that were actually born in Britain 🇬🇧 with @harrykersh — and ranking them from “decent scran” to “this explains the empire”.
Greggs, Morleys and Wimpy… all fighting for national pride (and my cholesterol levels).
Along the way I’ve been drinking HOLY — zero sugar, loads of flavours, and genuinely clutch when you’re 4 meals deep and questioning your life choices. I’ve been using their Starter Set so I can try a bit of everything while I make progressively worse decisions across London.

You went to Morley's and didn't get ribs 😔😔
Wimpy was named after a character in the Popeye newspaper cartoon.
May you both be cursed to live on true British fast food of jellyed eels and dry fish fingers.
No bacon sandwiches.
No fish and chips
No Greggs.
"british fast food" 😀 "chains" 😞
quit watching after 0:07 due to ai usage, cheers
AFAIK Yum Yums are Scottish
As an American living in the UK…few things hit as hard as a Greggs when you’re hungry on the go
Always makes me jelly how many fast food places the yanks have, and we have, like, Wimpys.
I agree somewhat about Morley's, but Sam's is the ELITE
do like morelys, there wrasp and wings and chicken is good, burgers a bit small compared to off brand chickens ships and big brands but sitll quite nice
Having spent 45mins waiting for food in most UK KFC's on a Saturday night I'd say we have slowed down fast food.
0:09: Jollibee: Am I a joke to you?
The classic Millie’s was the Smarties cookie on a pop stick.
American Southern gravy and sausage gravy may catch Brits by surprise, but if you said "gravy" I'd picture beef or turkey gravy, unless you were specifically referring to biscuits and gravy, when you said Harry Ramsden's was the only fish & chips that went international I thought of one chain in the U.S. that I had to look up because I could'a swore it was British, Arthur Treacher's Fish & Chips, but it turns out to be a 100% American chain, however it bought the rights to the original fish & chips recipe from the Malin's in Bow fish shop and used a British actor as the namesake, and …. I forgot the third thing I wanted to mention so good job on the reviews, always good to see Harry.
Should of gone to the Wembley Park Greggs. The pastries might of been warmer lol
First time a got here I thought that greggs is a bookshop😅
Did u eat all the food u bought in this video?
22:18 when you try and dunk a chip in your fish.
Nice '90's Dolphins windbreaker!
Today I learn
Nibs is as old as my LDR partner.
I would say "McDonald's arrived in the 1970s" is often used and technically correct, that's when the first restaurant opened in London. It took a lot longer though to establish nationally and as a kid of the 80s in school we'd never heard of it. It was actually 1986 when they opened a drive through in the UK rather than being a sudden change in the 1970s. A couple of years later around 1988 until medium sized cities all had one (and they all had a Wimpy). Another 10 years to 1998 to be at the size it is now of around 900 locations.
Clinging on like Harrys hairline, why does my man keep touching it asif it's a quiff 😂
19:40 33? I thought he was only about 25
I remember having a Millie’s at a haven park in like 2014
Do you weigh yourselves?
Ps i am english and have never eaten anything from greggs. Why would i, it is just fat and cheap offcuts, gross
Should of hit Pret a Manger up they're global aswell
The Morley’s in Camberwell got me through my Masters degree. The wings, chicken and lambs rib combo is goated.
Wimpy is beloved but just not in demand
You missed a beat by not having Miss Millie's and or Dixy chicken… Or wasabi or west cornwall baking company or tortilla or yo! sushi 👀
Finding nibbles quite lovely in this. Stay delicious.
what a collab with harry, well done man you deserve this and more
A sausage roll without sauce, blasphemy!
Wimpy was her in New Zealand, but I never went to it. Just looked, turns out, it’s just another US burger joint. I was really hoping it was actually British, nope.
Gail's sausage rolls are to die for
Morley's, depends on which franchise you go to. Camberwell 9/10. Elephant and Castle 4.5/10. The wings are good at both, but massive difference in the quality of chips and the spicy chicken burger, tower included. However better than KFC by a mile John
is wimpy in popeye cartoon named after this? or vice versa? so all we need is brutus fastfood chain😂
Badly researched. Wimpy UK is owned by Famous Brands in South Africa where there are over 450 locations. The menu there is far more diverse with chicken, wraps, steaks in addition to the burgers.Relaunched in the UK by Famous Brands. Founded in the USA and owned in South Africa. Definitely NOT British!
Have Wimpy's in Canada. Only been to them a couple times though.
Also the Gails and Millie's sections appear to be in front of a green screen or something, cause I can see the two of them shifting around slightly.
