  1. I skip breakfast generally but that’s cuz I forgot to eat and lunch and dinner is better but I do feel like that at work but that’s cuz there’s days it’s so busy where I don’t have time

  2. I starve myself. That's the reason I skip meals. And I can't afford anything. But mostly because i want to starve myself.

  3. Duck off. Gen z has more loan options. We didn't. This generational bias. Younger kids have a new vehicle and more apt. Options than I have. Duck you. This doesn't account the emphasis on beauty and health standards. 😑 high school level presentations.

  4. People aren't supposed to eat 3 meals a day. The idea we're supposed to was fairly recently thought up. The affects on thier health will be beneficial as long as they don't binge at supper

  5. The ultimate solution is meal prepping. Grocery store staples like potatoes, pastas, rice, frozen veggies, and frozen proteins with generous seasonings can provide a well rounded meal on a budget while remaining tasty. Taking advantage of grocery sales, short dated/discounted foods can also land higher quality ingredients at a better price. Then its just a matter of picking a day, making a bunch of different meals, chiling them down and taking one to work each day and using the good ole microwave. Farmers markets can also land you better deals, just avoid the ones that are in trendy areas that are preying on health focused audiences willing to pay more for "local" and find the ones that are doing it as a side gig to earn money and grow more than they can use.

  6. Thank you thank you THANK YOU for calling out how hard it is for us to make ends meet. More people need to know it and society needs to shift the blame from calling us lazy, to realize its not us, its actually those calling us lazy.

  7. if i just eat one delicious meal for dinner i get what i want and i don’t spend a bunch of money and im full and im not overeating its like a perfect solution to all of the problems

  8. As a Gen Z still in college, in college money is definitely a defining factor if they can afford to eat or not. But, in my area there are alot of korean barbecue all you can eat places that are very cheap costing only 2-3 dollars per person. I see college students eat there more during lunch than in Mcdonalds or in a cafe.

  9. Im broke and school lunch genuinely looks and tastes like cardboard. I would rather starve to death than eat pale grey veggies ever again.

  10. I can't stomach food in the morning and when I was in school I would skip lunch because the food is terrible. So I would skip two meals then have a lot of snacks when I got home and then having dinner.

  11. Polish broke as$ student here – eating 5 eggs with bacon and butter and 2 whole wheat buns with butter at around 6 a.m. and then a bowl of spaghetti around 5 p.m. only 2 meals a day work just perfectly

  12. I have an idea for them, which is actually very cheap. I like the start of the day or at like really like at night time before the sun comes up I recommend or if you want when you wake up, eat a small amount like food just like like, but it’s important to eat one date now one date because one date actually has a lot of sugar but actually good sugar. You should eat like one or three dates an odd number of dates but not too much with some water or some kind of milk product or just like milk so you don’t get thirsty and also drink some water and then throughout the day you cannot eat like you’re so you’re just like fasting through the day and then pretty much around noon or like when you are like better when you feel like a little better then that means you can stay for a little longer but when you feel like it’s time to eat like you’re actually super hungry and you have to eat at the end of the day eat and trust me you’ll feel like you don’t want to eat a lot so that means this is one of the best techniques

  13. Comment section says it all.

Also, assuming that meal skipping is unhealthy with no scientific support whatsoever is just lazy. A lot of science says the exact opposite.

  14. I skip actually taking a break at work and eat my packed lunch at my desk so i can leave half a hour earlier. I have to travel a lot in comparison to my colleagues and since i have to take public transportation im stuck to two moments that i can travel relatively easy an hour. Now the real meal that i skip is breakfast, because i cant really eat much of anything at 5:15am when i get up for work

  15. Idk who ever said capitalism works but it does not. We need to abolish it before we run out of money for EVERYTHING.

  16. am i the only one who just kinda eats when i'm hungry regardless of meal times? like sometimes i wake up hungy and have a good breakfast so i don't eat again until well after lunch time, but sometimes i wake up not hungry at all so i don't eat until lunch time

  17. I had a workplace try to keep me during lunch or have me take only a twenty minute break. I sent them my doctor information because I’m a diabetic and food in that stressful environment was helpful in keeping my bg levels stable.

  18. Honestly in my home (i. A younger gen z btw) , not only am i broke but my parents save the good food for dinner. I want to make an impressive lunch but I scared my parents will think im wasting food

  19. Why? The food we are offered is worse for us and more expensive than ever.
    We can't afford the food.
The food should often legally not be called food.

Our bosses want machines not humans. Our culture sees only profit and not people. Gen-Z has mentally stressful lives with low physical jobs and lives so we don't process anything properly like our bodies were made to do.
And we don't have the time to make actual real food from scratch. Plus our food pyramid is all fake food so many don't even realize how many whole foods are out there that we can eat easier or how to use them.
