My Picks For The Healthiest Meals At Fast Food Restaurants

As much as I advocate for cooking your meals at home as often as possible, and much time as I’ve put into showing what to do so with, sometimes you’re on the road and you need to eat then and there. Fast food is often your best shot at that. And while fast food often gets the reputation of not being the healthiest food out there, I was personally curious as to how good they could actually get. I think for many of these chains, they’ll surprise you.

Apologies for the long intro. There were a lot of guidelines I wanted to lay out first so there is as little confusion as possible.

  1. Does anyone have suggestions for what would be helpful for CookOut? I was hoping they had enough restaurants to be on this list but they didn't make it.

  2. That green goddess salad from Panera is really good, I ate it a lot with soup when I was losing 60lbs during covid

  3. I'd love to mention that brauns uses A2 milk in all their products, and the cottage cheese that comes with their salad is no exception, it's so delicious

  4. Don't sleep on the Popeye's Blackened Chicken tenders yall.. they're also super easy to make at home with a basic Cajun seasoning!

  5. I like the idea of a good breakfast items tier list. Its easy to eat poorly at most fast food places for breakfast but I think its be interesting to see how the McDonald's oat meal compares to things like a Burger King egg and sausage sandwich

  6. It's true, the green goddess salad is pretty good. Also made me ant to go to panda express to try this lighter fare. I've never been.

  7. Love it! Taco bell for the win!!! #TeamTB

Gas station foods next? They are becoming more and more like little restaurants.

Also another great idea is sub or fan meals ranking? We can probably learn a lot from each other!

  8. What a pathetic indictment of the awful state of food in the United States GMO Chicken, Chicken, Chicken, surrounded by carbs and fat. I became nauseous before you even got to the letter β€œH”

  9. I'd love a fast casual video cuz CAVA is my go to when I can't cook or don't have a lot of ingredients at home. Not to say it's super healthy compared to cooking at home, but choosing the veggies and meat well makes it solid after the gym

  10. I make about 99% of the food I eat from single ingredients. Steak and veggies. Chicken soup. Eggs and kimchi. Peanut butter. Lots and lots of great (healthy) normal food. I buy organic produce. I drink water and rarely have alcohol. As a result, I never have chronic symptoms like headaches or upset stomach or congestion.
One day I said fuck it and had two egg mcmuffins for breakfast thinking it couldn't be so bad. By noon, before lunch, I had an unusual upset stomach and the worst hunger pangs I've ever had in my life, and I don't ever get hunger pangs. Things didn't get much worse, but that night, into the next day, I had farts like you read about. Luckily I was working outside because a few morsels of fast food did a number.
Don't eat that crap people, it's terrible for you. Look up a few east recipes online and spend two hours a week cooking. That's not asking much and you'll feel way better.
