In this video, we’re spending a full day in Rotterdam trying only traditional Dutch food—from crispy kibbeling and Dutch fries to bitterballen, stroopwafels, and even kapsalon. This city might be known for its modern architecture, but the food scene is full of local classics you definitely don’t want to miss.

If you're here in delft. Go to Döner King in the city centre. kapsalon xl there is 11.50. they have a huge selection for such a small place. I always get Durum there
Fries with peanut sauce, mayonaise and onions are commonly known as "Patat Oorlog" which meand "Fries Warfare".
Those fancy stroopwafels are a tourist thing, the dutch usually buy the regular ones. We do call the filling caramel though 🙂
To be honest, there's only like 5% real cheese in a kaassoufle you buy on the street. It's filled with all kinds of other stuff, but not cheese 🙂

I wasn’t sure about the kibbeling at the markthal but you knocked it out of the park with Jaffa in the WW street! That place saved me from many hangovers back in the day…

It’s funny how the most “ordinary” local food often ends up saying the most about a country.
In the land of Harbors it makes sense that they have so many varieties. At this point, who knows what's authentic ancient Dutch food after 600 years of traveling the world. I mean, who in Europe makes an authentic potato dish? Really? OK, if you serve it wearing wooden clogs I might be impressed.
Deana, I have to say something. Not negative. So, please. I am also an ex-pat living in Germany and one tries their best to learn the language, pronounce the Umlaut and switch the consonant pronunciations ( when you remember – that's me.) Every time I go back to visit family and friends for the first few days I get strange looks. Oh, you're just showing off, how pretentious, etc. You don't really sound like a foreigner, but just not like they how they remember. I hear it in your videos – and I have to smile. Because I know – it's me.
Herring! Guys, where is herring!? Nothing is more Dutch than herring. The Netherlands survived thanks to herring. Without herring there would be no Netherlands.
