Are Ninja Kitchen Gadgets ACTUALLY Worth the Hype?

A Chef and Normal put some of Ninja’s latest kitchen gear to the test to see if they’re genuinely genius or just great marketing.

In this episode, we’re trying out the Ninja Crispi, Ninja Staysharp Knife Block, and the Ninja Creami Scoop & Swirl to find out which products actually deliver in the kitchen. Will we see crispy cooking results, ninja-like knife performance, and frozen dessert magic? We’re putting each one through its paces and seeing whether they live up to the hype.

  1. About the Airfryer being portable — i don't really see the office part, or the airbnb part, but i do see it going camping in a caravan. Most caravans dont have an oven, and they are very limited in size and weight, so could be a good gadget there

  2. We got the largest knife block, very happy. Had for over three months, still very sharp, haven't used the sharpener yet, but glad it had it handy.

  3. I have quite a few ninja products, and have had them for several years. They are excellent, i love them, the support and 2 year no fuss replacement warranty is second to none, i had an issue with brand new coffee machine the day i got it, unboxed on a Sunday afternoon, called support (uk based!) the guy sent me a text with a link to join a video call, the bean hopper had a switch fault, brand new hopper sent and was in my hand on the tuesday. I have a dual AF with probe, had it for 22 months started having a fit during cooking a beef joint, over heated basically, called them, brand new unit sent out within 48 hours.

I highly recommend ninja just for their awesome after-sales support that isn’t in India!
    Even the kettle it great!
The knifes or creami dont really interest me, you can buy decent knifes and sharpen them yourself,
Great testing though guys well done 👍

  4. Ninja is REALLY good at marketing, to be sure.
I moved last summer and the new apartment didn't come with a built-in kitchen. I opted for a portable 2 burner induction plate and a Ninja Foodi 10-in-1 oven that runs on a single power outlet. Never missed having a bigger oven even once and wouldn't even know when I would miss it, that thing also has an air fry mode, and I'm honestly a little skeptical if that's a fair label, but it ultimately works very reliable, it's hot in 90s and even has a dehydrating function, which was phenomenal in autumn after picking mushrooms, because I could dehydrate each one that I couldn't eat right away

  5. We have so many ninja products in our home. The regular air fryer is great, the knives are mid, the twisting blender is ELITE

  6. Don't listen about 'use few times and forgetting'.
Bought regular ninja creami and we are eating at least 3 pints a week. So there is money saved there, and you get to see what's in your ice cream and make it fit your taste/needs( less sugar etc)

  7. I wanted to buy the Crispi to make fresher meal for work, when I work long days it helps to be able to make a breakfast and a healthy lunch at work and just prep at home. Unfortunately the company insurance doesn’t cover the use of cooking appliances 🙁

  8. IMO, this type of Air Fryer is mainly designed for social media. This one would attract the attention of those doom scrolling more than a traditional one and it can make for better shots.

  9. lol a glass toaster is a toaster oven. you have been able to see your “toastie” cooking for like 80 years lmao

  10. The air fryer would be great for those that have food allergies and travel. They could easily fix a meal in their hotel room without any concern about cross-contamination.

  11. Love the ninja creami ! I have the older one without the soft serve and it gets used 3 times a week in a house of 5. I personally love it for sorbet

  12. I could see it being handy if you have a Ninja Air Fryer at your work office. Then all you have to bring in is the matching Tupperware bottom and heat it up

  13. I got a set of their non-stick foodi pans and love them as well as I have the Ninja Belgian Waffle Maker Pro. (only issue is the vertical design you can't put fruit and stuff in the batter or it sinks to the bottom.) But still like it.

  14. I wouldn't ever bring an airfryer to the office. Not that I really have one that I could bring though, but my regular oven has an airfryer mode. I have taken my multicooker with me when camping though, but that was at a campsite with mains power available and we had our car, so it wasn't inconvenient to bring it along. I also had a murikka, gas griddle pan as well and I could sous vide my steaks. Very much a glamping thing we did just because we could, but it was really nice, and the next time we do a similar trip, I'll probably bring it. I wouldn't bring an airfryer camping though, but then I do have both a multicooker and a gas griddle that covers just about every situation. If I'm not going by car, I just cook over a fire or a camping stove.

  15. I have the ninja creami. Love it. I haven’t used it a lot over the winter but I anticipate using it a lot this summer. What I have made has been awesome.

  16. In the lunchroom at work there are 3 airfryers so people can cook their food. There is no stove, just the airfryers and a microwave.

  17. you say you're practically testing out of the box — I hope they were washed first this time — there was a video a couple of months ago where Ebbers did not wash it first and the normals complaiend the food tasted weird

  18. I’ve got a ninja double drawer air fryer. It’s drives me crazy when I push match on it as it then goes to roast or one of the other settings. I preferred by Cosori but the ninja is easier to clean. I wouldn’t buy the glass one as I could see it getting stained and being an eye sore on the counter no matter how hard you tried to clean it. I got a mini cheap air fryer from Kmart to crisp things up at work. It only holds one slice of pizza but at least it’s crispy not microwave soggy

  19. I would absolutely bring the little air fryer to an office if I still worked in one. I drive a truck now and honestly I think I am going to buy one for in the trucks

  20. We have most of those Ninja gadgets. The OG Creami is used every summer to make the best mango sorbet I have ever had, hands down, however, very limited use. We have the Crispi XL, which cooks a mean churrasco and fantastic fresh non-breaded chicken fingers. The prep and cleanup is great too: keep in the fridge holding your pre-seasoned meat, toss it in dishwasher and you’re golden. The convenience of seeing what the steak looks like as you cook it is truly great for a home cook. We use this one every day. The Ninja knife block is worth every penny for a home cook. We have the flip toaster oven which keeps your counter tidied. We also have the Ninja espresso machine with built in coffee grinder, which makes my daily cafe au lait, which my husband actually prefers over the Breville espresso maker we used to have. Their blender is very nice too, does a great job. We are huge Ninja fans 😂

  21. Literally made me return the crispi i bought last week, didn't have the time to open it yet.
Doesn't speak for me that i didn't watch a single review before buying it…

  22. For me compact products are great.
I love my Ninja blender and my Ninja mini food processor/chopper – wish I had purchase that sooner since it allows me to eat more veggies! If I could actually afford/move into a house with a bigger kitchen, I’d buy more! So far I’ve never had a bad ninja product.

I really want a crispi & creami but have no more storage room or counter space since I don’t have a pantry 😩

  23. Um heat & plastics do not mix well because it causes it to break apart into microplastics.

It’s funny because I recall asking some people a few years ago the question, what will our generation’s version of cigarettes be? That is, what are we doing now that’s considered normal or that is encouraged that’s actually quite harmful to your health? (cigarettes were encouraged by the US government around WW2)
And then a year or so later we hear about forever chemicals, PFAS, and plastic leeching

  24. I can't see a place in my kitchen for any of these 3 products, but I do appreciate Ninja's appliances and have a "Ninja Kitchen System | All-in-One Food Processor & Blender | 8-Cup Bowl & (1) 24 oz. To-Go Cup BlendSense Tech" and a pretty basic Ninja 12-Cup Programmable Coffee Brewer.
The coffee brewer has been in service since January 2020 and the only thing that has gone bad on it is its digital display. It is no longer readable, so now, I can no longer set the timer.
The kitchen system was acquired at the end of February 2026, and I love it. I was inspired by the smoothies from my local Amish market and wanted to be able to make them at home, and I needed a new food processor. The tripled death bladed blender is amazing and does a wonderful job. I haven't used the travel cup, or food processor yet, but I have high hopes for them. I've used the blender for smoothies, and once using frozen bananas, frozen clementines, frozen pineapple, and some Dole pineapple-mango juice, I made a blend that I then froze and it turned into a really lovely frozen dessert.

  25. Cooks well but the biggest problem with air fryer is a cleaning oversight issue. The base doesn't separate from bowl. There is a gap. A gap which you can see yet not clean properly. Parts should separate completely.

  26. I absolute love my Ninja Crispi cause of the glass base. It is super easy to clean. I might try that knife set as I need an entire set of knives plus seems like easy sharpening for goober like me.
