Teppanyaki vs Yakiniku 🇯🇵 Which One Would You Try?

Teppanyaki or Yakiniku.
Two different ways to experience Wagyu in Japan.

When people think about steak in Japan, these are usually the two that come up.

Japan has nearly 30,000 Yakiniku restaurants and around 6,000 Teppanyaki restaurants. A large gap, but each offers a very different experience.

Yakiniku is more social.
You sit around the table and grill the Wagyu yourself. There is a wide range of cuts and styles, from casual spots to high-end restaurants.

Teppanyaki is more structured.
The chef cooks in front of you, typically preparing Striploin, Ribeye, or Tenderloin, focusing on timing and technique.

Two approaches.
Two atmospheres.
Both worth trying.

Which one would you start with?
