Chef Kunal Kapur’s new restaurant now in BANGALORE!
POV: You walk into a celebrity chef’s restaurant wondering if it’s all just pretty ambience, or actually worth your money.
Pincode by Chef Kunal Kapur just opened inside One MG Mall, Bangalore, and we had to check it out.
We started with pani puri served with kokum water, passion fruit water and mint water. Bold concept. The passion fruit water was really nice but honestly? I’m a mint water loyalist.
THE HITS
🟢 Pineapple Mousse Chaat – crispy, creamy, chaotic in the best way. My favourite bite of the night and I did NOT see that coming.
🟢 Corn Kebabs – straight up solid, no notes.
🟢 Jackfruit Biryani (takeaway) – 10/10. Zero pictures. I ate it all before I could think straight. No regrets.
THE MISSES (sort of)
🔴 Kothe Momos chutney – genuinely dangerous levels of spice. Heat sensitive people, you have been warned.
🔴 Saag Burrata + Paneer Tikka Masala – both a 7/10. Fine dining prices, mid-range excitement.
THE BILL
Rs 4500 for two, full fine dining experience. Fair for the quality and ambience.
THE VERDICT
Good first visit. Great potential. I’m going back for the rest of the menu and more JACKFRUIT biryani that I will photograph for sure this time 🤪
Save this for your next Bangalore weekend and send it to your group chat before someone suggests the same place for the 11th time.
