Half of those foods dont look traditionally Dutch, some of the food looks very americanised, deep fried & dripping with ketchup & other sauces & mostly burgers.
So you were near Louf when you were at Albert Cup. That bakery was so good, I went there like 3 times. They have delicious miso chocolate chip cookies and cinnamon cardamom swirls. Also, this is a little more adventurous but the pickled herring was actually very delicious.
Apple in apple pie is meant to be sour, we specifically use a sour apple type. But honestly as a Dutch woman your age, I hardly ever eat those treats. They are considered very unhealthy. Maybe fries once in a while and that fish, but as a treat.
Lekker gezond allemaal! Lekkere stroopwafels haal je gewoon bij een kraam of bij Albert Heijn. Je bent GEK om 13 euro voor een stroopwafel te betalen!!
I've eaten at an AMAZING Ethiopian restaurant in Amsterdam not far from a theater (but I don't remember which one 😅). And it was rather affordable Don't sleep on other cultures & foods when you're visiting a foreign country!
As a Dutch person please go to the local shops or market stands instead of these tourist traps, they are usually wayy too expensive and the OG places are usually 10000 times better. You did great w the poffertjes, stroopwafel and the kibbeling. Those were prob the real deal.

To be fair, the Canadian dollar is probably worth more if you set in on fire and use it for warmth. So yea…
