@whatwouldkaylacook Homemade Sausage Rolls, the perfect game day snack Ingredients – 500g Sausage mince – 350g beef mince (or pork) – 1 Brown onion, diced – 3 Garlic cloves, minced – 1 Grated carrot – 1 Egg – 1 tablespoon American mustard – 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard – 1 tablespoon dried Italian herbs – 1 teaspoon salt – 1/2 teaspoon pepper – 1 egg, scrambled for the ‘wash’) – White sesame seeds (to top) – 4- 6 sheets puff pastry 1. Simply mix all your ingredients in a large bowl until combined and preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius. 2. Spoon your mixture onto your puff pastry and roll and cut into pieces. 3. Place onto your lined baking trays and brush the top with your egg mixture plus sesame seeds. 4. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and ENJOY! * if you’re wanting to freeze some, bake half your batch for 15 minutes and then place in freezer bags once cooled. These will last you for months in the freezer! They said these foods are bland because they are not used to eating food free of dangerous chemicals and flavourings 😂. In the UK we have strong food regulations so many of the ingredients found in American snack foods are banned in the UK and Europe. Even American food companies make healthier versions of their snacks in the UK, which is why the UK has longer life expectancies than the USA
