Baton Rouge Food Tour Pt.2 | Cou-Yon’s | Guy Fieri Approved Crawfish Etouffee Loaded Potato

After the massive disappointment at Parrain’s in Part 1, I officially hit the reset button. I scrapped my entire itinerary and went straight to the source: the locals. The people of Baton Rouge told me if I wanted the real deal, I had to cross the bridge to Port Allen.

Today, we’re at Cou-yon’s BBQ. This spot comes with a massive reputation—even Guy Fieri stopped by for Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. I’m diving into their legendary Crawfish Étouffée Loaded Baked Potato topped with fried shrimp.

Can this one dish save the entire Baton Rouge food tour? Is it actually worth the hype, or is it just another “tourist trap”? Let’s find out.

  1. Man whoever giving you these suggestions are not from BR. these are all the places you go to if you're not from BR.

  2. Baton Rouge and New Orleans don't have the best food in Louisiana but they are definitely better that Las Angeles and Arkansas. You need to try the 337 area code it is still Louisiana but different area code.

  3. Latry

If you are into Italian food, may I respectfully recommend, Anthony’s Italian Deli on Government Street, here in Baton Rouge.

Try the Muffuletta sandwich, and their Spaghetti and meatballs, they are one of the best in our city. Ask for Marco, the owner, real nice guy and probably can tell you a lot about our city, both past and present.

I hope you have an amazing and awesome here, the people are welcoming, the weather is nice time of year, and the food … well ! speaks for itself. A consortium in culinary delights … and you find it here !

  4. All the jokes about the sweat got me feeling like the meme: When they slandering your goat, but they lowkey right. 🙁
