Funfact: as you can tell I ended up loving vegetables and boney part for real when I grew up 😂
everyday stress for no reason, I'm so sorry.
You make me reminded my grandma. My grandma was a fisherman and we having mackerel deep fried every week, she always told me that she love eating the head part and always gave me and my siblings the meat. She will always be my angel❤
Most moms 👵🏿
🤎!
HUH? A TABLE??? Yall don’t eat on the ground????
Yeah I tried to uno reverse my mom after I grew up and she told me "do you want me to die early? Old people can't eat much, you're still growing so you have to eat more".
I give up 🙂
Tako mame rade.😊
It's nice seeing you speak in your native language.
Me and my husband always
This is so sweet n heartwarming 🥺🥹 just like my mom when me n bro were growing up. We also didn't have much n our parents would do this kinda thing at meal times. Makes me so sad n want to give them the world.
This is motherhood. I dont get the mothers who tell their kids no for food!
This is so beautiful… growing up my mom never paid attention if i ate or not. I don’t have anorexia or anything but i was always skipping meals so i eat very little now i developed GERD i.e. Stomach issues. I was also not eating because of stress. Bad eating habits is so hard to fix tbh…
You legend.
Even though we were always lucky enough to have the food we needed, my mum would do this with the less desirable parts of any food. So if something got burnt or broken during cooking, she would always take it! And she would give herself less than everyone else. I love seeing how much you care for your mum. Everyone’s different but this makes me realise some things stay the same, even on the other side of the world!
This is real love… i grew up in a home where we say words without actions, it gave me an appreciation for cultures that let action speak instead of easy words.
i'd take a reminder to eat and dress warm that shows you think about my health over "i love you" that shows focus on your own feelings any day
My father was in the military. Not the u.s. military. In the morning they would give the officers 2 boiled eggs for breakfast but my father would save them and bring them home for us kids bevause we didn't have enough food when we were little. I don't remember those days. My Mom told us these stories about our Dad. He died young unfortunately. Thanks Pops. You were a wonderful father and a great man. He's been gone 40 years nows. I still miss him and i'm crying as i type this. Hug your parents folks.
So wholesome. My mom said the same thing when we went to McDonalds and such when I was a child, then proceeds to eat at some a bit costy restaurant with her friends the next day after taking us to school (found out when I was older). Well, after all the hardwork she does for the sake of the household and now as a fellow woman myself, I still think she deserves it. But ngl it does change your perspective a bit 😅
I'm a millennial but I just fight with my mom over who gonna finish the last popiah. Both claimed that we're full. I am blessed like that. Sue me.
I have this relationship with my loved ones too. I feel like I'm past my usefulness to them so whenever there's food, I try to eat a little as possible and stick to the less desirable cuts.
Hate that every asian mom does that 😤😤
Even I did that with my lil sister 😭 but I hate that
All moms and daughters are the same!
🥰🥰🥰🥹🥲
Typical Asian mother. ❤
Moms will always be moms
That's mum for you. Now I really like bone 😅
Good mom!!!!
My mom starved me to death. I died at 14 months old.. two times ….
I tried to tell others all the time. Be really grateful for the life that you have. The grass is not always greener on the other side. Even though it may appear so. It's not.
U v sweet doter as sweet as yur mom ❤❤❤
Grew up poor in germany and i still do this with my mom
That’s love ❤
I often told my children that I'm not hungry.
My dad (French) does this too, but with food that's going bad, like fruits. He would just eat the ones that started rotting. I think it was a mixture of him not wanting to waste, and him 'sacrificing' so that we could have the nicer bits.
My mom used to do this but without any reason at all. It genuinely pissed me off. Now that I've grown up I think she did it to convince herself she was a good mother, and of course she wasn't.
I did this and my mom said she will not eat it and then gave it to my brother. Since then I stopped doing this
"since I was a chai" 😂😁😂
Only daughters see the sacrifices their mothers make. Sons just glorify it .
We always let mum have her drumsticks at kfc. I feel its been years since i had a drum.
Love language also in my family❤️😘
A mother's role in the global south is full of sorrow and love, I think of what my mother had to do growing up and all the things she gave up inadvertently leading to so many issues, the layers of the relationship between mothers and daughters just becomes so complex.
This was so heartwarming ❤
❤
Those parts are the best ones: full of flavours 😅
My husband does this to me. I have to tell him I'm full and remind him he is physically bigger that me so we can't eat every meal 50-50%. He always trys to give me extra of the best parts or my favourite parts of a meal. Sure sometimes it can be frustrating when I want him to have all the best parts too and eat as much as he wants, but I appreciate him so much, and if we are going to fight over something, I feel fighting over who gives who the best bits isn't so bad 😅
Все мамы одинаковые, моя мама на Украине в 80 годах тоже самое делала ( ну не про крабов конечно)😂
5poilt brat
As mother we sacrifice a lot. We sacrifice our bodies, our time, and eating a hot meal or not eating at all. Our kids and family happiness out weighs ours, that is our sacrifice to make, our kids happy. You are bless to have your mom still in your life. I lost my mom when I was 16, she been dead for 31 yrs. She been dead longer than I had her in my life.
I'm 40 n my mom still does dis…amma❤
