  1. I read that the Hawksmoor at Air Street has a menu that emphasises seafood as a main. The chain may be testing the waters to see if this is the direction that they will take their other locations.

  2. Fabulous! If we are talking about Commercial Street it had many ado even dating back to the Victorian era right though to the early 70s.The road holds many secrets.

  3. Hawksmoor uses a β€œdry brine” for their aged steaks, and then salts the steaks for a good crust when they are grilled. A starch (mash, bread or pasta) might need to be eaten with the steak to counter the saltiness.

  4. Thanks for letting me know, they have one in Chicago, brave to open a British stake house in Chicargo, 5H away for me, menue is a bit more expensive than the UK. Lovely review.

  5. Was foolishly going to criticize you for using a fork on the oysters but correct etiquette. For a moment, I thought you said Pasific waters relistened Spacific.

  6. Love Hawksmoor – so glad you did a review and, as always, respect your honest review. The quality of your filming and kind comments are so appreciated. You always leave me with a big smile on my face. Thank you Sir. 🌞

  7. I've ended up eating at hawksmoor a lot since it opened, before they even had the bar downstairs at Spitalfields. Its a common easy point of agreement for medium sized groups of people so one ends up there a lot. I genuinely think its 50% great 50% terrible in terms of outcomes at various venues after 20 odd visits. I will also say i find most of their starters disappointing and absurdly priced and tend to never order them now. Service can be excellent or completely ambivalent. Very random

  8. food is good at hawksmoor, sometimes the staff think they are too cool for school. there is nothing cool about the bill

  9. My comment would be similar to the last. Being veg, I will never be eating steak or bone marrow, but it is a guilty pleasure to watch you enjoy it and have this level of respect for the food. And cloth napkins! Thank you πŸ€—πŸ’›

  10. Good choice once again, my friend, and on the meat choice too, the Ribeye I had there a couple of years ago was the best non-Wagyu steak I have had – Aragawa in Mayfair, CUT Park Lane and the steak I had in Kobe were superior. The price is a bit on the high side but they do a lunchtime sirloin and chips for Β£25, half the normal price, which is great value.

  11. That was lovely and unexpected surprise! I do like Hawksmoor – we have one in Manchester and it’s great. I like to pop in and eat or have a cocktail in the bar area – the staff are fabulous and the β€˜vibe’ is so chilled. Glad you also enjoyed your meal.

  12. Beautiful presentation of food. I love that the restaurant floats on water. Thank you for another fun episode.😊

  13. Nail on the head, Hawksmoor is a wonderful chain. Thank you for sharing your experience. Full marks to you for managing to resist a glass of champagne with your oysters and a glass of red with your steak.
