Baton Rouge Food Tour Pt.3 | The Chimes

The Baton Rouge food tour has been a struggle, but we aren’t giving up yet! After a string of disappointments, I decided to scrap my entire itinerary and let the people of Louisiana take the wheel.

The verdict was unanimous: The Chimes.

In Part 3 of the series, I’m heading to this local staple to see if it actually lives up to the massive hype. Can their Southern classics and legendary atmosphere turn this trip around, or is the Baton Rouge food scene officially on the ropes? Let’s find out if The Chimes can provide the redemption we’ve been looking for.

  1. If you are still here. You have to try 1717 Kitchen at the Queen Casino. They have a pork chop that is fantastic. Also really good poboys.

  2. Also for a great burger go to Curbside on Government Street. He started his business with a food truck. Really cool place too.

  3. Louisiana has great food period ,from North to South but you gotta go to small BLACK restaurants or even Black homes to get authentic good food ,restaurants especially named ones don't have great food

  5. Parrains is a sister restaurant to chimes so their bread budding maybe the same. Don’t take my word for it though I haven’t been yrs
