24 Hours Eating Atlanta’s GREATEST Food!

Atlanta might be one of the most underrated food cities in America.

In this episode of my 2026 World Cup food series, I’m in Atlanta, Georgia, to find out why this city deserves a lot more respect when people talk about the best food in the USA.

Atlanta is the heart of the American South, a city shaped by history, hospitality, culture and serious comfort food. From proper Southern classics to Texas-style BBQ and one of the best sandwiches I’ve had on the road, this was a city that completely caught me off guard.

I start at Homegrown, a cafe serving deep South hospitality on a plate. We’re talking Southern fried chicken, biscuits, fried green tomatoes, grits, collard greens and the kind of food that feels like it’s been cooked with a bit of soul behind it.

Then I head to Fox Bros Bar-B-Q, an Atlanta institution started by twin brothers bringing Texas-style BBQ to Georgia. Brisket, ribs, smoke, sauce, sides, the full works.

After that, I visit Paschal’s, one of Atlanta’s most iconic restaurants, famous for fried chicken and its deep connection to the city’s history.

And finally, I order from Fred’s Meat & Bread to try their Korean cheesesteak, a sandwich that proves Atlanta’s food scene is not just about tradition, it’s also about creativity, cultures colliding and chefs having a bit of fun.

This is part of my 16-part series travelling to every 2026 FIFA World Cup host city in North America to find out which city has the best food.

I’ve already visited New York, Los Angeles and Philadelphia, and now I’m in Atlanta to see if the capital of the South can compete with the biggest food cities in America.

  1. Dude, great vid. The food looks insane and as for someone who is not able to eat this after going through health issues, your vids are a joy to see someone enjoy it. Proper down to earth and hope you are loving what you do! Keep it up!

  2. Next time hit Buford Highway for about 200 amazing international restaurants on an incredible 8 mile corridor. Several Michelin recommended spots there.

  3. might cost a bit but travelling to every city that didn't host a world cup game could be a good follow on series love the videos keep it up

  4. Remember when Homer put on 300lbs and had to wear a smock.
Which city will you be buying your smock in?🤠🤠

  5. Waymo’s do have drivers… but they’re all sat in a big warehouse in Mexico driving them like drones 😮

Too vid as ever Jonno ❤

  6. I'm off to Toronto for eight days and a couple of World Cup games…all the way from Yorkshire. Looking forward to that episode…! Keep up the great work 👍

  7. That over the bridge view was used in The Walking dead. Great video again, Atlanta looks amazing, pure comfort food, all looked fabulous xx

  8. I'm kicking myself for not knowing about Paschals until now, I stayed overnight in the Clarion Inn next door to the restaurant in September last year and wasn't aware of it. I'd have gone there instead of Ted's Montana Grill for dinner..maybe next time!

  9. Good lord! Good job you were only there a day, any longer and they'd probably have deep fried your camera 😄

  10. As a native it’s pretty good but so is New York. Most cities tend to have good spots if you know where to go

  11. Another great entry into the series. I love how you focus on the character of a region rather than just the biggest restaurants.

  12. Fox Bros has been dethroned for years bro. You should've tried Heirloom Market BBQ and Owens & Hull BBQ

  13. Loving the series so far 🎉👍🏼👍🏼 gonna make one dish from your series for every England game … From the host city .. inspired..😅.. Dallas ..Boston and New York .. and hopefully many ..many ..more 🎉
