  1. It seems as though a GoFundMe is useless if nobody will be patronizing the diner. It's almost like throwing your cash in the trash. Money would be better spent entering the restaurant and purchasing food. Getting the word out to the masses is step one and I commend this effort by Mister Barr.

  2. I think in a city with thousands of restaurants and really good food, customer service matters a lot. When there is so much choice, good food is not enough. Another great video ❤.

  3. Even before watching this video I knew he would purposely avoid the Black community in NYC. A zero coverage narrative for 1/4th of NYC 😂

  4. love the new trend of visiting struggling restaurants. Its a refreshing pivot from the trying the next viral thing

  5. See there is another vegan restaurant or sandwich shop in Brooklyn. It’s owned by my friend, but I’m sad to say that he certainly had to shut down because of the increase of rent and other things. It was Toad Style it been here for over. Decade and was even featured but people forgot to support the real New Yorkers 10:25

Give Toad Style my love and tell them Panda sent you – they are really nice people and the friendliest Brooklyn has to offer.

  6. What a fabulous episode Jon!! I really enjoyed seeing more unknown restaurants being tried and you have showed true heart by doing this video

  7. Love this video! Cozy Soup & Burger is terrific. At there dozens of times through the years. Their soups are perfect as is their burgers. Even better is their warm and generous staff.

  8. TBH that thai place looks like you would get sick from the clutter alone. its also a looks like a massive fire hazard. as well as the chicken you ate was not fully cooked i saw enough red in there to make me not want to eat there again if i went there. If they fixed all that and the food was good i would go.

  9. This is one on the most entertaining videos I've seen. Love that you are doing good for NYC while making your content. You defiantly need to do this again & I want one of those emails! I'd fly in for it!

  10. Helping people who need and deserve help, makes you a hero. Thanks, pal. Wishing these good people all the luck they deserve.

  11. Was not expecting a food video from our guy Jon to make me well up a little, but here we are. Great stuff, man.

  12. ‘I’m eating Nepalese momo while drinking a lassi, such a queens moment’ 🤣 brother It wasn’t a Nepalese + Chinese/Tibetan + Indian fusion restaurant, Nepal is sandwiched between them this IS their local cuisine. Minus the dishes that are there for the Americans this is just what every Nepalese restaurant is like.

  13. This is super dope. I’ve been to plenty of overcrowded restaurants in NY that are absolutely terrible, terrible service, disgusting food , ugly ass decor. Never believe the hype

  14. That mexican place gets a 5/10 for me the inside looks good and you say the food taste good. But the whole drag show bingo thing what are they thinking that alone would make me not come back no matter how good the food is. Like men dressing up as women and trying to act sexy to people like is this a restaurant or a woke strip club. they need to get rid of that or there place will not be able to keep that place going

  15. Great concept.

Not sure if they're struggling, but a spot with a great mission is "the original soup kitchen" (

Q288+5J New York, USA) I highly recc you give em' some lovin.

  16. We used to drown our sorrows with meatloaf sandwiches and blueberry pie. Now it’s Xanax and Tik Tok.

  17. Like I have mention before to people that every since Covid in 2020 the crime gotten up in NYC with crazy people and also the Financial Inflation gotten even wrosen in 2026 that's why right now in 2026 restaurant struggling sadly…

  18. Extremely kind of you to help these struggling restaurants, and thank you so very much for your videos and for doing this for them.

  19. 0:53 Hear me out. What if, instead of a gofundme, they had a location they could change money for food? I’m beginning to see a pattern. Imagine being so privileged and entitled your only issue is using common sense to fix the restaurant in one of the most difficult and profitable spots in the USA? Too bad this guy wasn’t honest in how to help them in fixing it. Exposure is NOT GOING TO HELP if people don’t understand you sell food.

  20. this is the second time i've seen a video on bangklyn in like a week. I wonder if some shenanigans is going on

  21. I haven't finished watching yet, but thank you for using your platform for things like this. I live in a small town in the uk that is predominantly independent shops and food chains minus like a couple of places and they thrive here because of it, and honestly i don't think i've had a bad meal eating out here but our go-to is usually almost always the italian here, and idk just seeing y fave place thriving makes me so happy, i think if it was struggling I'd be doing everything I could to help it, these smaller places really deserve to be put out there. Also those momo's looked SO good Nepalese food is so so so incredibly tasty!!
