We are Eleise and Lawrence & Nyh – A young family from the south of England. Like many people the pandemic gave us a shake up! While watching hours of Mark Weins in Thailand – We had our “Ah ha” Moment. We decided we wanted to travel.
Enjoying working for ourselves, we didn’t want to give up our business and decided it was entirely possible for us to do both. So we set about making it our lifestyle to work in the UK for a month, and then travel for a month – month on, month off…. until our little boy Nyh goes to school! We want to inspire people that you don’t have to up-sticks, sell all your belongings and leave behind family to be able to see the world.
Our Philosophy. Work, Travel, Repeat.

❤❤❤❤❤ are you going to show your younger baby in the holiday vlogs ❤❤❤❤
glad that your family having fun trying Malaysia food.take care and have fun.
You went on a food tour. I suggest do your own research and go around unless he provides the transport for free.
Nice tour guide. He took you guys to some good food locations.
1. Otak otak – Fish with spice grilled with the leaf. Every spot gives you a different take with the flavor. Try Chinese, Nyonya and Indian version too.
2. Nasi Lemak Wanjo – Begedil (fried mashed potatoes with minced beef), chicken or beef rendang is recommended
3. Grilled fish (Mackerel) with sambal, fried bananas – Grilled fish usually served with rice and malay dishes. There is easy to eat grilled stingray too. Sambal helps masking the smell coming out of the fish.
4. Bakso?
5. Asam Laksa – Spicy tamerind fish based broth and rice noodles. Every ethnic group have their take on the recipe. Some even a lot less fishy. Also, there are multiple variations of Laksa. You have Curry, Laksa, Nyonya Laksa, Laksa Johor, Sarawak Laksa, Penang (Asam Laksa), Siam Laksa… the list goes on. Every state in Malaysia also got their own twists.
6. Roti canai – There are multiple variations of it too. You can add stuffs like eggs and onions. I've seen chocolate powder (Milo) too. Murtabak is the meaty version of roti canai. It is very filling. Another one is Roti Sarang Burung. This one is cooked with runny eggs, some even add minced meat on it too.
7. Cendol – The Malaysian dessert! Another variation will be ABC (Air Batu Campur / Shaved ice with additives and nuts). It is also called Ais Kacang (Ice with nuts).
8. Durian – Durians from Malaysia are usually fully ripe. They allow it to fall off the tree instead of chopping it off the tree.
Barely scratch the surface of Malaysian food. It will take a while to experience it all. I could recommend some if you need.
Only tourists say that Wanjo is the best nasi lemak. Another place that is popular for nasi lemak is Village Park which is in Petaling Jaya. There are also a lot of sellers who sell only in the mornings by setting up a table to sell their nasi lemak. Everyone has their own preferences. Personally I judge based on the taste of the rice. Others judge based on the sambal.
You baby looks like mini Mariah Carey. 🥰🤩
Why does your food guide has a made-up western accent? 😂😂😂
Interesting info: my nephew is allergic to peanuts in UK but whenever he comes to visit family in KL, his allergy goes away (or is very much less severe tongue pointvthat he can eat peanuts without taking antihistamine). I suspect its GMO peanuts in UK whereas here in Malaysia, peanuts are NOT GMO.
Durian the Malaysian way….if it is too big, we don’t put the whole thing in our mouths. We hold it with our fingers and eat all the flesh clean off the seed.
The Durian.
The ones in Thailand, many are plucked early. It will then be kept until ripe.
Malaysian durian is let to ripe on the tree and will fall by itself. Thats where the "gas" is different.
Terbaiiik👍👍❤️🥰🇲🇾
You have a empty stomach to do a food tour
