48 Hours Eating Houston’s Most LEGENDARY Food!
I went to Houston, Texas to find the best food in one of America’s most underrated food cities.
This city is pure Texas. Smoke pouring out of BBQ pits, unbelievable Tex-Mex, some of the best Indian food in the country and a food culture built by generations of immigrants who turned Houston into one of the most diverse cities in America.
I started at Truth BBQ for some of the best Texas BBQ I’ve ever had. Proper smoked brisket, insane bark, homemade sausages and barbecue done with ridiculous attention to detail.
Then I headed to Brothers Tacos, a legendary Houston breakfast taco spot serving fresh tortillas loaded with bacon, eggs, potato and incredible homemade salsa.
After that I visited Aga’s, the biggest Indian restaurant in America. Massive portions, incredible curries, buttery naan and some of the best Pakistani and Indian food in Texas.
Then I stopped at El Patio for old-school Tex-Mex. The kind of place that feels frozen in time. Fajitas, enchiladas, queso and classic Houston comfort food.
And finally I finished at Killen’s BBQ for more world-class Texas barbecue, smoked low and slow in true Houston style.
Houston might not get the hype of New York, Los Angeles or Miami… but after this trip, I genuinely think it’s one of the best food cities in America.

Who cut your hair? Must have been an American, tell me who and where they are and I'll get em for ya
so to be honest your comment on making ranch in house is possibly the best and most old school thing you can do! For. long time back in the day that was how you had to do it to have it…
Arsenal Title challenge!!!
love that line, hope it ages as well as that meat!
hahaah yes jono givng the Goonahs some sh!t – never thought id enjoy watching a red stuff his grid so much – best channel on YT by a mile – get some of that BBQ in GOAT lad
BBQ is a must in Houston Texas
aga's is like that
man i just finished you missed our China town, little Saigon and Korea town. unless you didnt
You went to Aga’s that’s a staple in Houston! When I lived there the lines weren’t that long and now you wait in the queue up to 2 hours
They would clean up in the UK with meat that good
I think it’s awesome you’re in America trying foods from different places. America has the most diverse food. I live in Connecticut and Pizza is the thing but …. We have buttered lobster rolls, Steamed Cheeseburgers, and some of our own food chains.
Another banger Jono. Wow that BBQ food. Omg it just fell apart.
he's never disliked a meal this fella..
Houston local here. Love the video. Recommendations for when you return
Lupe Tortilla
Papadeaux
Pinkerton’s BBQ
Gypsy Poet Pizza
I loved all your previous work but these videos are excellent Jono. You are making me very hungry though. I do hope the American series pays off for you. Cant wait to see the remaining cities released
My lord! Everything looks phenomenal! The Tex-mex food, the breakfast tacos, and the bbq…wow! Even those sides at the 1st place, the potato salad. Great video. I’m so jealous! ❤
Mate, you're living out my dream driving across America eating this food!!
So jealous, looks unbelievable!!
Food all looks amazing. Are you starting to crave a salad though?
Great content. Cheers
Theres no such thing as Tex Mex most the stuff they claim as Texas or tex mex is from AZ and Cali and carried as an alternative in most states. We just don't call it tex mex in Az,Cali,Nevada, and New Mexico because we arent self obsessed like the texans 😂
The Vietnamese scene in houston is also off the chain. If you ever make it back again, try some pho!
Killen's barbecue is never that juicy and it's highly overrated! All of the other places were spot on!
I’ve been waiting for this one!
Some top bbq ❤
I watch a lot of food reviewers and just discovered you a couple of days ago. By far your formatting, interview style, combination of appreciation for history, the chefs and owners, and the food itself is top tier! Easily my new favorite food channel. You deserve many more followers! Cheers!
So far, I think the best thing about the series is the access with the owners/chefs/kitchens. That adds a lot
If you come through Fort Worth hit me up, don’t make the mistake of going to Dallas and not seeing Cow Town, we have some amazing food!
Houston is the most diverse city in the US, even moreso than New York. I basically say if you want to find a food from anywhere on Earth, there's probably at least one place that serves it. Also the unique fusions we get like Viet-Cajun, thanks to Vietnamese immigrants and Cajuns from Louisiana realizing how much they have in common.
I’m from London moved to Houston 9 years ago. Food here is insanely good. Welcome brother
Houston feels like it needs a part 2
I’m from Austin bro we do it a whole later better the H Town… (Huston)
A-Town (Austin) > H-Town (Huston) in everything….
$130 for a plate of BBQ is crazy. Tin Roof BBQ in Atascocita, CorkScrew BBQ in Spring or Witt Pitt BBQ in Rosenberg have some amazing BBQ at reasonable prices.
The way you pronounce Houston drove me nuts all way through this 🤯🤣🤣
Top notch as always. I get excited when I see a new WC city video released.
Murica baby!
whooston
Perfect Sunday night wind down, food looks incredible, living your dream man, rate ya, we gonna come to your bar soon, me and few work mates from wolves….hopefully see you knocking about, put a few recommendations on the app too ❤
Much love to you from H-town! Been following your channel for a bit – love learning about British food and the culture of the different cities. Keep it up!
Houston has EVERY kind of food you can think of and you will not go hungry. It will be hot and humid AF during the World Cup- stay hydrated.
Best food channel on YouTube, hands down. Cheers for the content Jonno. You should come to Ireland.
Houston is like 10 regular cities but they're all an amoeba city. Plus it's the most ethnically diverse city in the US
hot WhoSton as u say it Youston (Houston) || It's not tekOze not Tack_ose TaHCkos (tacos)
Pronounced HYEWWSTON
Fall apart like an Arsenal title Challenge 😂😂😂😂 they nesrly fked it again against West Ham, luckily for Arsenal thier goal was ruled out
As far as Texas BBQ, the best hands down is in Lockhart, TX!!!
