I’m in South Korea with Korean Zombie, and he’s taking me straight into the deep end with one of the spiciest chicken challenges in Korea.

Before we even get to the night markets, Zombie brings me to a local spicy chicken spot where the hottest level is no joke. The sauce is everywhere, it hits the back of your throat, your tongue, your nose, and there is absolutely no hiding from it. I thought it might just be heat with no flavour, but somehow it was actually nice, even while I was sweating bullets.

Once I survived the chicken challenge, we headed into the South Korean night markets to try as much street food as we could. Desserts, egg bread, tornado potato, chicken feet, crunchy crabs, sweet snacks, and a bunch of things I’d never seen before. It was chaotic, fun, and exactly the kind of food adventure I wanted to experience in Korea.
