Finally a SME.
Hot nuts are incredible. The Takis brand makes them here in the US and they’re like my go-to snack
Pequin chili without being in a dish is just mean.
what is this a "no sideburns" convention?
Your videos are always so helpful, thank you!
What are you guys taking? You all seem messed up on something
I had that pelon candy as a kid in the 90’s in Louisiana. It was labeled with American wording though. I don’t remember the name but I remember liking it
I have a friend who lived in Europe and has no sense of smell, so really enjoys spicy food. He found that Mexican food in Europe wasn't very spicy. Is that because hot peppers are hard to get? Or can a Mexican restaurant in the UK get them?
Santiago & Kush collab for Poker Face? 🤣
Oh man, growing up in New Mexico we got a ton of Mexican candy as kids, and I absolutely adore pelon pelo rico. Although goddamn, that is a HUGE one, I am used to them being smaller than that. I'm actually sad he didn't bring any chili suckers. Even moving north from New Mexico up to Oregon, the other kids were weirded out by chili suckers for some reason. But I still adore them and buy them online occasionally. Curious if anyone else has that experience, and which they prefer: Mango, Watermelon, or Corn?
All the chili candy from Mexico really isn't that spicy at all, the sweetness drowns out the spiciness so that you only get a very slight tingle. But that is maybe different if you grew up in the midwest (or UK) and spice basically doesn't exist for your childhood? Wait, but like…I'm pretty sure hot cheetos and maybe takis or whatever are super popular among kids, right? Is there no equivalent in the UK?
Watching Ben fall in love in real time 😀
I love super smokey aggressive islay's and more recently came to find mezcal which I also now thoroughly enjoy.
Who split up in two rooms? Makes the video awkward and doesn’t seem to flow as well. Just my opinion but it all needs to be in one room. 🤷♂️
"Lemonade. Made with lime and chia seeds"
🤦 Why do Mexicans never understand the difference between lemons and limes.
Another comment asking why this was not in a shared room. This would have been much better if they were sitting at the round table, with all of them tasting, and then Barry and Jamie giving their reactions. Much more personable. Why bother having Santiago in the studio at all if this was going to be treated as a normal tasting video?
Another fun video! I wish Ben and Santiago had been in the same room with Jamie and Barry though. It feels like some of the conversation was hindered without the ability to have the usual back and forth discussions. Still fun though.
Not a fan of the separation between everyone. Feels much less communal, and what is food if not communal and shared?
Ben was smitten 😏
Weird that they're not all in the same room together having a face to face conversation
You guys, get over it— they’re separated because these were different shoots. What’s important is the content and message, not the format. Drink more mezcal and chill out.
