48 Hours Eating Miami’s Most ICONIC Food!
I’m travelling across North America to every 2026 World Cup host city to find the best food.
Miami is one of the most insane food cities in America, and it is so much more than beaches, palm trees and nightlife.
In this episode of my 2026 World Cup food series, I’m in Miami, Florida, to find out why this city has one of the most exciting food scenes on the entire route.
Miami is a city built on sunshine, movement, migration and flavour. Cuban food is the heartbeat here, but the more you eat your way through the city, the more you realise Miami is not just one thing. It is old-school Cuban counters, legendary sandwiches, late-night pizza, smash burgers, fritas, seafood and a ridiculous amount of character.
I start at La Camaronera, one of Miami’s great Cuban seafood institutions, for a classic fish sandwich and fried shrimp. No nonsense, no polish, just properly old-school cooking from a place that feels like Miami in its purest form.
Then I head to Versailles, probably the most famous Cuban restaurant in America, for a table full of Cuban classics. This place is part restaurant, part landmark, part living museum of Miami’s Cuban community.
After that, I visit Sanguich to try what many people call the best Cubano sandwich in the city. Proper bread, roast pork, ham, Swiss cheese, pickles, mustard and that perfect pressed crunch.
Then it is over to Miami Slice for one of the best pizzas in America. A tiny room, serious hype, and slices that are absolutely worth the queue.
From there, I hit Skinny Louie for what might be the best burger in Miami. Simple, smashed, filthy in the right way, and exactly the sort of thing you want after a day eating around the city.
And finally, I finish at El Rey De Las Fritas for a traditional Cuban frita, Miami’s own answer to the burger, loaded with spiced beef, crispy potato sticks and a lot of history.
This is part of my 16-part series travelling to every 2026 FIFA World Cup host city in North America to find out which city has the best food.
I’ve already visited New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Houston and Boston, and now I’m in Miami, a city that completely won me over.

Great content …. Have you had a meal over in the US yet you didn't like? Can you understand now why we're so damn fat!!
Home of the 🐬
A Miami Cuban garbage
That pizza looked incredible… I’m literally salivating. I’ll be taking a trip to Miami Slice in the next few weeks for sure.
I was looking forward to this one, I. Travelling over from Scotland for our brasil game! Kilt on, beach bound. Lovely. X
14:06 what a kit, go on with your Cuban sandwich mate 👌
So jealous of your food trip of a lifetime. I would do this if I had 40 grand spare. Your enthusiasm for your topic and the quality of the execution are beautiful. You need a tv show my friend. Any of the big production companies would be lucky to have you
Not a big Miami fan, but I’m happy to go when I visit family in Florida, if only for the Cuban/Spanish culture.
I like your channel but I can’t believe that every place you have been too you like I’ve never ever heard you say you don’t like something

Boss man work. Well done bro – and thank you muchly.
I’m drooling watching you eat that pizza 🤪
There are many food reviewing channels on YouTube these days, to stand out the content has to be top notch, the connection to the audience has to be immediate and this channel hits the spot in both categories effortlessly….I'll even forgive the Man Utd top….😅
I've been waiting for this one
edit: I'm sorry did you say you had 2 caffecitos on a monday??? yeah you’re different.
I cant work out if you have one of the best jobs ever or the worst. I'm guessing due to time constraints you cant eat all the delicious and amazing food in front of you.
I genuinely feel sorry for you😂😂
Did you really put ketchup on that fish sandwich?
sanguich is slang italian..for sandwich.
why doesnt anyone at El Ray De Las Fritas speak english? My grandparents came to USA fro Italy and learned to speak english…
not adapted like you said apparentlly
I'd go to Versailles just because the lady is wearing Villa colours 😉 UTV. Great vid as always.
I love what you're doing with this series. I'm disappointed that we're hosting the world cup under the current climate, but it's very important and encouraging for the vast majority of U.S. citizens to show that the abhorrent current situation isn't indicative of the people here. We're trying to fix it, but money has hamstrung the needed progress
This takes me back to the days when I used to watch ManVFood and Rick Steins travel shows. There’s something nostalgic about the filming format and it is a delight to watch and I keep on coming back for more. Great stuff.
Yeah my guy, just what I needed and wanted to watch right now, even though I’m starving it’s still gold. Much love to you and the family man.
Another great video bro! Glad I never went to Miami, been to Florida a bunch of times (Orlando) but there’s one thing I love more than Cubanos…Latina women and cocaine! That city would be the literal death of me! Thank God for CA and YouTube videos! 😂❤️
For a big American city, the food is not good.
I live a mile or two from most of these places he listed.
He said the fried pig skin "is so good"……no it's not. Pretty much any corn or potato chips taste better.
And you have to be careful about mild food poisoning.
i desperately want to try a cubano seems so strange that something so simple practically doesn't exist in the UK
Nobody from Miami eats at these garbage places 😂😂 I cracked up when he brought up Versailles
Another banger of an episode. Well done, my friend.
That pizza 🍕 looked otherworldly! 😮😮😮
Well Jel mate loving the vids
Should’ve gone to Cowy Burger instead of Skinny Louie’s. Great video though!
Cuban Miami food is delicious ❤ what’s sad is that the Cubans on the island of Cuba 90 miles away from Miami, do not eat any of these foods and are basically starving to death in 2026.
