  1. Prefacing this comment with I absolutely love your videos, but this time I thought you weren't clear when you slipped in the oil in to the three bean salad. I assume it was olive oil.

  2. The mother of a friend of mine used to freeze Ambrosia salad in a loaf tin and cut slices to serve as dessert at summer dinner parties- looks very fancy!-

  3. I love these videos it’s so nostalgic. My grandma made those meatballs, I think. Thanks for the memories.

  4. Tip for "funeral potatoes"(aka party potatoes) mix your potatoes and Shredded cheese first. It makes it a lot easier to stir.

  5. Lol, have gone to church my whole life and we have never had church potlucks really. I also have never had any of those recipes as a kid except for the fried chicken of course 😊

  6. I request that my MIL make her version of Ambrosia salad when I host Thanksgiving for the family. So yummy! – She adds grapes, bananas, & apple slices to your basic recipe.

  7. YOU FAILED‼️. #1 – thaw those potatoes entirely!!! #2- Those funeral potatoes NEED CHOPPED ONION! What is wrong with you!!!

  8. I just kinda made funeral potatoes with hashbrowns, but I heated my soup with Velveeta and some milk, extra seasoning, no butter though, sour cream, Parmesan and Romano cheese, and am using cornflakes for the topping 😊 🤞

  9. I was taught a very different ambrosia recipe. 1 large can of drained fruit cocktail. One fresh diced green apple. One diced banana. Mix with cool whip. Occasionally, extra rinsed marachino cherries were added. Any seasonal fruit would be great! I just found this channel and cannot thank you enough!!!
