Legendary Chinese Food Street! Best White Sugar Cakes, Clay Pot Soup & Mixed Rice Noodles

In this video, I’m capturing the bustling morning energy of a legendary Chinese food street — Dashiyuan, located in Nanchang, China.

This historic neighborhood street is renowned among locals for its authentic breakfast, traditional cooking methods, and incredibly affordable street food.

From sunrise, this food street is packed with residents buying fresh breakfast and vendors working over hot stoves.

You’ll see the delicate making of traditional white sugar cakes, widely loved for being crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, and perfectly sweet.

Another highlight is the famous clay pot soup (Waguan Tang), slow-simmered for hours in giant ceramic jars and served piping hot alongside bowls of spicy, savory mixed rice noodles.

The street is lined with vendors frying endless morning snacks — crispy youtiao (fried dough sticks), golden pan-fried buns, and serving traditional sweet rice wine (shuijiu).

This is not a tourist spot, but a real glimpse into China’s daily street food culture — busy, aromatic, and full of genuine neighborhood life.
