I’ll eat bugs all day if it means never having to eat Tripe. I’ve had it in Vietnamese food and the Mexican national dish menudo and it’s never enjoyable. That being said carne de sesos (brain) tacos are incredible so I’m not against offal.

Every foreign country Sonny goes to all the food he shows is blood sausage, brains, cow stomach, organs, etc. What do these countries do with the rest of the animal like steak and such? Just throw it away because we never see that being served …

As a Bhutanese I agree some things you mentioned but honestly it's my first time seeing Bhutanese eating bug and pig head ..I had never heard such things and also I am pretty sure that many Bhutanese doesn't knows that.

Bhutanese cuisine is the spiciest food in the world. I went to a Bhutanese restaurant in Washington DC a while ago, and whilst I generally have a high tolerance for spicy food, pretty much everything I had was beyond my threshold. The Bhutanese treat chili peppers as a vegetable instead of a condiment.
I don’t see what’s wrong or off-potting, or shocking about anything here. Maybe it’s because I’m from a culture in the United States where we make use of those things, only prepared in a different way. We also honor the whole animal, and use almost all of it.
I’m Bhutanese, but this is actually my first time seeing and hearing about that stinky bug dish. 😢

I have had pig feet, head, chicken legs, blood sausages, had blood filled meat, intestines of all kind but I have never heard of bugs in Bhutan.
Only rich people eat deer, bear,wild pig meat n bugs coz we middle class people can’t effort dis meat as dis meat are made only for rich people in Bhutan dats da fact…
She is absolutely true..I am from bhutan and I haven't even heard or seen anyone consume those bugs in my entire 37 yrs of my life here in bhutan..it's crazy really…yes we really enjoy and consume varieties of meat but bugs we really aren't interested and for me personally it's disgusting..
eating the cordyceps is crazy. its not just a fungus it takes over the hosts body it infects. "the last of us" is based on this concept.
