I'm keeping pastry dough in the freezer from now on! That and fresh raspberries got me out of an entertaining complication
So fresh! I legit half expected Frankie to say so fresh, so clean 😂😊
Light a candle and keep it next to where you slice the onion. The flame minimizes the strong onion vapors . A Martha Stewart trick.
Thank You Frankie! You're the Best!
You forgot to tell us what kind of rollin pin you used? Hahaha
If you keep your mouth tightly shut, you won't experience the worst effects from the onions.
I've always got pie crust, puff pastry sheets, phyllo and biscuits in the freezer. They're great for a variety of sweet or savory dishes. My favorite tricks are making hand pies, individual jumbo muffin-sized pot pies or sliders.
My appetizer trick is a goat cheese log, rolled in sunflower and/or poppy seeds, smothered in honey, and topped with fresh berries. Serve with sturdy crackers.
For dessert, my go-to "fancy" dish is a trifle: in a tall-sided glass bowl (so you can see everything), start with a layer of lady fingers or pound cake slivers topped with a drizzle of a sweet syrup or splash of sweet sherry, then a generous layer of lemon custard, a few dollops of jam, slices of seasonal fruit, and then whipped cream. Repeat layers to fill your bowl, topping it with the last of your whipped cream.

Ah… 2023, how times have changed! 🤣
Of all the hacks, tricks and tips for tear-free onion cutting… nothing works as well as a small fan.
Simply blows the acidic fumes away from your face. I've tried so many other methods and NOTHING works as well.
Ancient/midwestern does not compute…
