Steve baked char siu bao is one of my favorites and I look for it when I have dim sum. I also like the Pineapple char siu bao. Sweet and savory. $3.25 is a lot. They are still $2.25 in SF Bay Area. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, $3.25? When I was a kid, char siu bow in Oakland Chinatown was 15 cents, chicken bow a quarter. I can afford $3.25 nowadays but not sure I want to pay it!
Nothing quite like a Big bun or roast pork bun with Chinatown coffee. Nothing compares to Hop Shing. Best baked roast pork buns ever and pre-Covid prices. $3.25 for a smaller baked bun. Wow. Too bad Hop Shing closed down. They were a classic old school place.

Another great review, I love it when you go China Town. When I lived in Hawaii we referred to them as manapua or char sui bao, steamed or baked. 👏
Love how they set up the outdoor seating by Nom Wah.
I have found a couple of places in Vegas that make some good pork buns.
First!
Roast pork bun, we call that manapua in Hawaii. Always delicious!!!
Steve: You need to shave. 😄 $3.25 for a long line waiting Pork Bun, you are right, even in NY, this is not cheap at all.
Looks like a wonderful snack, the bun was cooked perfectly.
Hop Shing had the best roast pork buns…
Thanks for taking us along. Looks like a nice outdoor area to eat. ♥️
I love roast pork bun! That looks heavenly. Thats one of my favorite 😊
I like to sit in Columbus Park.
That bao or manapua (as another fellow Hawaii person called it), was stuffed! Thanks for sharing all your favorite places to eat.

Is Roast Pork Bun the same as Cha Shew Bow? I prefer the Baked Cha Shew Bow over the steamed ones.
I like Asian but I don't eat it every single day.
