Davao's food culture scene shocked us in the best way! ๐ฎโ๐จ๐ต๐ญ After watching the vlog, what's the biggest food spot or local dish we STILL need to try before leaving Mindanao? ๐
Every region has its own version of kinilaw. Ilocano version is more Latin taste, not sweet.

Not being political, but the cult of personality is shown all over Davao – It almost like watching a North Korean propaganda video. Other than that, I"m glad you guys are having a great time @ Davao.
Bulalo
That place has the best pastil. I've been eating there since I was in high school, and that was about eight years ago. It's still one of my favorite places to eat pastil with. We called it " Pastilan sa boulevard "

I highly recommend staying there overnight so you can have enough time to experience all that they offer. Like their chocolate massage(forgot what it's called). The food there is also great, and you can kinda make your own chocolate.
The one that you ask from sana's carenderia that is fermented anchovies spices with vinegar and lemon me I eat that fermented anchovies with tomato, onion, ginger and chili, vinegar and lemon, and it is a appetizer.๐คค๐คค

Was this the thunderstorm in Davao City that lasted until 3 in the morning? It's the heaviest rainfall we've experienced since the year started. Usually, it's just part of the city being rained on but that time the whole city experienced the rain. โจ Succeeding evening showers were shorter although sometimes heavy.

Been living here in Davao City for 30+ years. Pastil was introduced here just some years back. I am not a fan of it though.. so I understand you too.
