  1. I'm from from Oklahoma and have been to NYC twice in my life. Once before 9/11 and once after. Watching you, Mrs. Steve, Tung, and your mystery guests has been so fun. I subscribed to your channel after seeing you with Danny. I love the Las Vegas gang. I've also really enjoyed your China and cruise vacation videos. It was so humbling seeing your sweet nephew in Florida at Salt Grass too. All of your videos are so fun and enjoyable to watch. Never stop loving life the way you two do together!! ❤️ Life goals for sure!! God bless.

  2. Hi Mr. Steve and Mrs. Steve. I love Junior’s Cheesecake. We can’t get it fresh here in Hawaii, but I order it on the Goldbelly website. Their menu has a great selection. Enjoy your meal and blessings. I actually have a Junior’s Cheesecake in my freezer. 😂😂 Thank you for the video. 😍

  3. Matzo is like tofu…no real flavor unless it's paired with a tasty base. As a much younger man my Korean wife would simmer tofu in bbq sauce when money was in short supply. Very tasty.

  4. I went to/and graduated from Long Island University, which is across the street on Flatbush Avenue. Junior’s haven’t changed, they always have top quality food. Before I went to LIU, my parents’ took us to Junior’s every month in the 1950s. I graduated from LIU in 1970; and I still go there when I’m in Brooklyn.

  5. I love how food reminds you of other food and memories. Junior's is certainly an iconic institution. Glad I got to see you at the original location. Take Mrs. Steve to Katz's so she can compare the Pastrami sandwiches.

  6. Hi Steve & Anna. Another great share. I enjoyed watching and Anna is so proper which is endearing. Steve i just love all these NYC videos. Definitely wasn't as good as katz deli. But decent enough. Thank you for another fun video. Take care❤

  7. Nice video, I can see why this place brings back memories for you guys !, the sugar dispenser, the music, don’t talk to me about A1C 😂😂😂

  8. The nusic they play there is so weird. Hippi song then Jewish music then old 70's music. So weird. You two with all your memories. So Steve you retired 12 years ago??? Or did you two just move away from NYC to work elsewhere???

  9. Lost the audio right after you served the cheesecake. I guess it was too good to talk about! 😂

  10. Mr and Mrs Steve stomping the grounds of New York grown. This is who they really are. Native New Yorkers. Twenty dollar meal, can’t beat that.

  11. I am a fan of a true NY cheesecake. Thick and creamy. I grew up having my moms and she always put cherry pie filling on top. I also am a fan of Jello cheesecake box you make at home. Very lite and flavorful.

  12. First restaurant scene background music was Theme from THE BLOB…
    Loved it…
Good to see Mrs. Steve again enjoying the food…
    Bill

  13. Iconic old school bakery/diner. Most have disappeared. There was a restaurant that had the best chocalate dreamcake and also strawberry and cream cake. Disappointed in your sandwich but you can't win them all. Have you eaten at Brendan and Carr in Brooklyn. They have the best wet roast beef sandwiches in NYC. Good video brings back memories of similar places

  14. Steve you have technical sound issue for about 2 mins when you order the cheesecake. No sound😢

  15. Steve, seems like guys like us enjoy going back to look at where we used to work. Hard habit to break.
Forgot to mention that the legendary rosst beef sandwich at Brendan and Carr is served on a Kaiser roll
    😊

  16. Sharing is great as you get to try more dishes. My fave people to eat out with are those willing to do that, especially if at somewhere new or somewhere you haven't tried all you'd like to.

I enjoyed seeing a different place and other foods. I can watch Asian but not all of the time. I like a mix but that isn't up to me, just my opinion, I feel most do but maybe not… No idea.

Pricey place though. I mean $15 for two eggs, I think potatoes, and toast and no meat? Just as one example. You'd get that for $5 or under here. Seriously.

But then it's a known place so likely to be higher I guess.

I DO like when places keep the original old style booths and stools and keep them up. Everywhere changes over time, like the city for instance for sure. Not always a fan of it. Nice when some things stay the same or close.

And they did bring you out pickles, cole slaw and beets so that's another cost to them so I get that. I haven't had beets in forever, now I want such…

Music is a bit loud but the overall crowd noise isn't as bad as some have been.

I've never had matzo ball soup but I've seen plenty and yeah, it strikes me like a version of a soup with dumplings. Dumplings in one version or another seem to exist in almost every culture. Many don't have flavor though unless seasoned, simmered, etc. imo. The one thing I do NOT like is gnocci. I have my own way of making dumplings, people like different versions. But most do need seasoning and flavor… Imo anyhow.

Sorry Steve's meat was dry on his sandwich. They should not for their fame and price ever have that. I'd have soaked each bite in the soup and they had no sauce offered but mustard?

Well by the end, quit picking on her. She doesn't do it to you.

Although I am convinced it isn't worth the price for what it is. Her manners are better than a couple of others combined. Not that I want lies as to food because people do really want to know but there isn't anything wrong with manners. And everyone's tastes, as well as taste buds are different and they can dull as one gets older… And tastes can change. I know I've certainly went through that.

Hard to tell in this one when you are kidding and not. Most of the time I know it's good natured kidding. This one not so sure…

Your A1C is not on her either. Now if she was trying to make YOU eat it, that would be different.

My first cheesecake ever was NY style. It's the best imo. Seems to be what the place is known for…

It was lighter by the end, must have been the cheesecake…

  17. Very great food and cheesecakes. Their sandwiches are very good and so authentic. The Matzo Ball Soup is very good. The strawberry cheesecakes, they actually use full strawberries on top that your mouth is not even big enough to bite into and your jaws would just fall off.

  18. I'm far more into nature landscapes than city landscapes but I guess if one has to be in a city… Such is what you get and hopefully the city has mixed it well with nature, water, etc. instead of selling out…

  19. Do you think you'll both be going to Junior's daily untril you've tried all of the different flavors? If you do, I'll be watching each one! I'll count today as the first one.

  20. Steve, quite stubborn no.l? Coming from a married person… i recommend being nice to your wife. Just sayin'. It will be better for your health in the long run.

  21. Growing up in Brooklyn in the late in the 50s and the 60s, we used to ride our bikes to juniors on a Saturday. They made the best egg creams chocolate egg creams. We used to get a pastrami sandwich, french fries slice of cheesecake, plain and a chocolate egg cream. The bill came to 2000 and $.95.
