You missed the mustard oil
0:19 No, in the US the regulatory system is so corrupt that this is not what extra virgin olive oil means.
In the us, there is no enforcement, so companies actually mix lower grade olive oil to dilute what they sell as extra virgin.
Why not tell us the names of all the cheater brands?
Yes but how is it processed? What chemicals are used? More then anything else that is what matters. Seed oils have been linked with blindness. If I have a heart attack well that's it, but if I go blind, I have to live with it.
What about algae oil which I heard has the highest smoke point

Food standards in the United States are appalling. Europe's standards are way better. Perhaps this explains why they have longer life expectancies? Of course, everything in the US is about profit, isn't it?

Pretty vague, and conflicting claims are mentioned but not resolved. Except for those with near-zero knowledge, this video did not usefully explain very much at all, and simply raised many unanswered questions.
This was great. I have mt. Oil on my shelf for making my own cosmetics. I didn’t know how to use it in food.
The trick my grandma shared to create the taste of walnut oil is to mix canola oil with a tea spoon of curry powder (without chili). It's remarkable!

I guess these oils are the reason why americans have lower life expectancy than most people. Proper regulation and transparency is not the priority of those US cooking oil companies it seems.

P&G doing the most for decades
In other words Coconut oil is absolutely brilliant compared to seed oils. Saturated fat is actually good for you and high LDL cholesterol is not the problem. The problem is the inflammation caused by seed oils.
I use real virgin Oil with production + expiration date (government approved /nob) and clarified butter only.
I am more confused than ever. Just tell me the type of oil, brand and when to use it.

Funny that almost all these oils are used in making soap. Some of them make really great soap (castor oil being the only one not mentioned here).
I'm getting ready to make a batch of soap with Olive Oil Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Avocado Oil, Castor Oil, Apricot Seed Oil, and Mango Seed Butter. It will make quite a premium bar of soap with really great lather due to the Palm and Castor Oil, skin softening due to the Olive Oil, and cleansing due to the Coconut Oil.

Since the video says "Every cooking oil", I was expecting to see mustard oil also in the list. It is not very uncommon to see mustard oil being used for home cooking. In south Asia at least. It has a very strong pungent smell, and adds a distinct flavour to the food that's cooked with it.
Palm oil is fantastic and many places in Africa its the only export Crop they have due to poor soil. The smear campaign have been funded by Westen Big Ag. Boycott the places burning rainforest not the plant. It gives fantastic Yields and resistant to pests keeping pesticides to a minimum. And its hardy, trives where most other plants dont
Regarding soya oil it came into wide use because the American medical council suggested the saturated fats were a major cause of heart problems and suggested switch to vegetable oil 😂
