A vegetarian sandwich just became my favourite sandwich in Melbourne.
This deli in Docklands might just have some of the best sandwiches in Melbourne. It’s run by a chef with a fine dining background, so every detail here matters. Almost everything is made in house, including the sauces and the pickles. The sandwiches are grilled, not pressed.
🥩Beef Brisket – cheese, sauerkraut, pickles, sauce – this was great, chunks of tender brisket, perfectly balanced flavour.
🍗Fried Chicken – cheese, lettuce, fermented chilli sauce – their bestseller, crispy tender and juicy chicken packed with so much flavour, the sauce was perfect.
🍄Mushroom – whipped cheese, sweet onions, spinach, homemade XO – amazing sandwich. Their homemade XO sauce stole the show. Sweet and seriously umami. I would buy bottles of that.
I enjoyed every single sandwich here. The fluffy Japanese milk buns was the perfect base. I could not stop raving about these to my friends. So please try it out. They deserve so much more attention.
