The Joshie-Man – The Joshie-Chef – Burnley – 19 June 2026

I literally can’t take The Joshie-Man into any restaurant these days without him thinking he owns the kitchen 😂❤️

He doesn’t walk in like a customer.

He walks in like the head chef has been expecting him.

First he was delicately grilling the meat, then he moved straight onto frying the chicken with the kind of confidence that makes everyone else just step back and let him get on with it.

And then came the popcorn chicken.

He knew where to find it in the freezer.
He knew it needed to go in the fryer.
He knew exactly what he was doing.

Honestly, I was finished 😂

But as funny and brilliant as all of that was, the moment that really got me was the little celebration between the two head chefs.

That tiny moment of friendship.
That joy.
That trust.
That feeling of being welcomed in, not watched from the side.

This is what inclusion looks like when people make space.

It looks like laughter in a kitchen.
It looks like someone saying, “come on then, have a go.”
It looks like The Joshie-Man being allowed to shine.

And of course, in true #BeMoreJoshie style, he didn’t just cook, eat and disappear.

He helped clear the food and drinks from the table too, looking after his brothers and sisters in the kitchen.

Chef Joshie.
Grill master.
Chicken fryer.
Popcorn chicken specialist.
Kitchen legend.
