24 Hours of Konbini Food… But We Skipped 7-Eleven and Lawson 👀| Japan byFood
Japan byFood and Shizuka are back on the next mission to eat only Japanese convenience store “konbini” for 24 hours with one new rule – *we have to skip the three major chains*. We heard from some of you about the less-hyped chains, so we tried them out to see if they’re actually good. Stay tuned until the end for the final verdict!

Every time Anderson gives reviews of awesome places, I had already left Japan, that is, ending my trip. 😂
I know its not a convenience store but I like the egg sandwich at Seiyu grocer. Its only 185 yen and its huge and tastes good. They usually sell out by noon or so.
I love that you don’t have those fake nails on the closeups. 🙂
Fun Fact: Mini Stop is now Uncle John’s in the Philippines. and no, they don’t have halo halo 🤣
For a split second, I thought she said “rameniscent” when talking about the ramen onigiri…
Ooooh luv Japanese konbini food reviews…especially the lesser known ones. Wanna try the Mini-stop Halo-halo popping ramune. 😅
I only been to New Days when I was in Tokyo last year. Do they have premium food items like 7-Eleven?
Thank you for highlighting some different konbinis and what makes them distinct.
I would like to see you visit the Vegan Store in Asakusa to see what they sell.
Cute socks!
❤❤ Japan by food
The only reason to go to Ministop is for the "smooth pudding parfait" the burned caramel sugar topping is the best.
I thought it was funny seeing all of the salarymen crashed out on their mats behind you.
New Days in Sendai Station is where I was able to get Zunda Kit-Kats this year. I've also seen them in a lot of JR hotels.
I love Daily Yamazaki so much, but all three of these chains are really good! Coming from Australia, it's such good food and really well priced. Here we have over priced sandwiches (Like $9+ for a stale sandwich.) Dry, over cooked pastries and expensive drinks. I miss Conbini meals!
"Halo-Halo" is Filipino for "mixing", so the whole point of halo-halo is to mix all the ingredients together instead of eating them layer by layer.
From your reactions, it looks like New Days is the place to go!
The konbini story arc continues!! I'm looking forward to see more niche ones like Seicomart in Hokkaido, maybe in Wakkanai, Tomiiso, Kafuka, or Rishiri Island if we're feeling adventurous 🤗🤗
P.S: The M44-styled jacket rocks!! Shizuka-neesan's jacket collection never fails. Kawaii socks too 😉😉
My first time tuning in from actual Japan!!! I'm having such a blast already
Happy to see the smaller combini getting some love. Hope you do a little competiton video between the smaller stores like who has the best egg sando.
I love that we finally gave some of Japan's underrated convenience store chains the spotlight they deserve! 🇯🇵✨
While everyone knows the big three, stores like NewDays, Daily Yamazaki, and Mini Stop have their own unique charm (and some surprisingly delicious hidden gems 👀). Huge shoutout to Shizuka for always being willing to put her taste buds to the test!
This channel is SO good 😀
so good that I have mentioned to my friends coming to Japan and wanted good food 🙂
this is THE channel to go-to 🙂
keep it up!
That's an interesting take with the Halo-Halo! Would certainly try that halo-halo popping ramune dessert one 😁
I want to try that famous egg sandwich 😋
0:46 yes it is!
These konbini sandwiches put to shame – to SHAME – any supermarket sandwiches we can buy in the UK ( which are mostly TERRIBLE ).
Great video! Shizuka enjoying a egg sandwich is so cool, was in Japan in april/may and egg sandwich was always my 1st choice at any konbini 😊 i tried them all!😂
My absolute go-to orders at Mini Stop are the spicy “cranky” chicken and the coffee flavored soft cream. No other conbini even comes close in my opinion.
We'll make sure to visit these konbinis the next time we're back! Also, hearing MiniStop mentioned in a Japan video is a different experience because it used to be a big brand here in the Philippines. And, I hope you get to try real halo-halo – more colorful, bright, and exciting!
Scandinavian people would probably be down with the cod-roe thing… there is a product in Sweden that was always a household-staple when we visited relatives over there, called "Kalles Kaviar". Its like a fish-roe paste that comes in an aluminum tube😂👍
A 2 am run from the hotel vibe. Ice cream, maybe.
love the gameboy socks!
Fun fact : I want to marry this woman
Amazing they discount the food at end of each day, we don’t do that in the USA 😂😢
Must be a worlds first where Shizuoka-san does not like something? Too much butter. Check. 😊
Good to see some exploration of other konbini. As an anti-colonialist (and isn't globalization, just a contemporary capitalistic term for the same old BS?) I don't really want to see more 7-11 nor Lawsons, despite being from the USA.
Admittedly, I'm more interested in ヴィーガンストア which is supposedly a vegan konbini in 東京!
Very cool park find with the tatami mats!
Is Shizuka real or Ai?
Besides the big 3, I saw New Days around but not the others. Gotta try’em!
Thanks for turning down the background music.
