I agree New Orleans ain't got nothing on us! …. I actually live a couple miles from here and my last name is Menard 😅… but honestly, hands down the best boudin in the area is from The Best Stop, and most locals agree!

The thing about eating crawfish is that it’s kinda slow even eating. Eating it slow gives a chance for visiting around the table, and the slow steady stream of eats doesn’t fill you up as quickly.

I'm gettin ready to try turtle for the first time this Thursday in Okeechobee, FL. Here they call it Cooter. There's a place in Okeechobee called Lightsey's that serves it. I'm about to drop some coin 2 days from now to tear that shit up. They have gator, cooter, all kinds of fish and tons of craft beers on tap. I'm lookin forward to it!
I really like Cajun food, I eat it once a year. I'm from Texas and can BBQ better than 90% than what you can buy other than ribs

I like how yall went to local joints and not tourist places to get some real down home cooking.
I was working at port of New Orleans for a while. Tried all the big name places. But best crawfish I ever had was at 10 pm at some hole in the wall biker bar. I lived between Houston and New Orleans for few years. Must say between the Cajun and Texas BBQ and Tex Mex some of best food in the country. I can’t say enough. In Houston we had an old Mexican lady and her daughter show up on job site with coolers full of breakfast burritos. Man they were awesome.
Crawfish is better than shrimp, lobster or crab imo, you don't even need to season them at all, they have a natural Cajun seasoning!

I once was at a Subway restaurant who made a sandwich then was at the register, handed cash back to the customer, then went back to the front of the line and started making another sandwich, all while wearing the SAME gloves! 0:49

louisiana definitely does not have the best food in america. it has decent peasant food i guess. doesn't even come close to texmex and texas bbq, and im sure there is lost of stuff in other places better too thats just what I experienced.

I am from up north married a man from the area on TX/LA line. He’s Cajun, I found out I was pregnant when I all of the sudden liked crawfish. 😂 true story. I also ate boudin and eggs everyday 🎉😂
