Tree Hopping and Dining in Style
The camera operators had their hands full today and so did Jackie and Shadow trying to keep an eye on the kids and follow them around.
Luna started out bright and early hopping from treetop to treetop and then going on a perch tree tour! Luna stopped in to visit dad in the Simba tree before heading out on another adventure. He visited just about every favorite perch tree of Jackie and Shadow’s letting them know they can no longer hide from him! He even gave us a nice fly by to show us all how well he is flying before heading out to parts unknown, maybe checking out the rest of the habitat.
Later in the afternoon our eagle eye CamOps found Sandy atop a sugar pine tree. We could identify her from the frilly white feather on her back. That same feather was there yesterday when she was near the boulders. Sandy also has less whitewash on her tail than Luna.
When the dinner bell rang, Jackie was right there delivering Sandy a tasty meal.
Sandy stayed put in the sugar pine for the rest of the afternoon. Shadow showed up at their favorite roost tree and Jackie soon joined him. With Sandy in a neighboring tree to the left, Jackie and Shadow chortled out a sweet goodnight to all the forest creatures.
Fiona the Flying Squirrel enjoyed a party of one all-you-can-eat buffet at the nest, for now she has the run of the entire penthouse suite!

The fact that these eagles are here and chose this area as their home is an indeed homestead and a truth that defines our all of our forest and our founding fathers reason they asked us to preserve them.
Glad to see them both at the nest I hope the stay for the 4 th I'm a little worried about the fireworks 🎆

Watching the 2 in the nest, morning of 7/2, I just loved watching their reaction, excitement, observing, as dad brought in fish!!! Happy, Happy Sandy and Luna!! Top Notch Care Continues!! ❤🎉❤

Sandy's a real trooper, I always knew she was ok, this is where she wanted to be for some reason, Fiona she's always house cleaning for Jackie and Shadow – good job Fiona! 😂❤
