I almost judged this dinner before I ever walked through the door. The Oceanaire Seafood Room is a premier upscale fine-dining restaurant specializing in fresh, sustainable seafood flown in daily from around the world. Owned by Landry’s Inc. , it offers a retro-supper club atmosphere designed to feel like a classic oceanliner. When I saw the menu, I thought, “Okay… another bougie restaurant.” I was wrong. From the shrimp and grits appetizer to the salmon topped with a bacon drizzle, every bite exceeded my expectations. The flavors were rich, balanced, and unforgettable. (And trust me… the drinks deserve their own moment.)
