I spent two days in Krakow and I was absolutely blown away by how good the food was.
From a 2-kilo baked potato and what might just be the best pork sandwich ever to the king of Kielbasa and Krakow’s most iconic street food, Zapiekanka.

Normally we eat the Pierogi with sour cream and okrasa — topping, which maybe a carmelised onion and skwarki — pork cracklings or brown butter with sugar and cinamon, in case of sweet Pierogi, but Milk Bars serve the most simple Polish food possible, I love them and I eat in them, but You need to know that proper Polish food has more spices, and diverse tastes.
Pork pierogies with brown gravy are my go for dish since I was born

Great movie and a fantastic selection of dishes—and there are plenty more options, such as potato pancakes with meat goulash, sour rye soup (*żurek*) with sausage and egg, wild mushroom soup
(made with porcini and bay boletes), and pork knuckle, to name just a few.🥣🥣🥩🥩😋😋👍👍

You can also eat pierogi with many kinds of borscht, for example when you still keep some leftovers from a previous day.

I came back from Sardinia 2 weeks ago and I will come back there for sure, it's incredible! I love Italy in general, been there like 10 times already. Polish people like Italians a lot, and from what I hear you like Polish tourists as well. It's very nice that we get along so well. Greetings from Cracovia. Ciao
Oh and next time go to a place that sells only pierogi and buy few diffrent ones, also fried ones with crispy onions, there are many diffrent flavours. I like potato-cheese ones when made by my family but it's hard to find good ones in a random Bar mleczny.

When I travel to Poland, I look for tickets to Kraków just to eat *maczanka*. My favorite version features blue cheese, beetroot, pear, and chocolate. I also agree that, aside from the meat, the roll itself is amazing. BTW amazing polish accent bro!

Ja pierniczę. Chłopie jak ja bym tyle zjadł to bym to trawił 2 dni leżąc plackiem. To były porcje jak dla drwala. Fajnie, że ci smakowało i z głodu nie umarłeś w Krakowie ale do niektórych dań to zdecydowanie powinno być polskie dobre rzemieślnicze piwo, a jest tych piw trochę do wyboru. 👍👍👍👍😂😂

My favorite? Polish sausage over the fire with mustard.
best pierogi are with grond soft meat inside and i always add a lot of ketchup xD im polish and i don't rly like other pierogi especially with no souse, it's overrated food imo. also this "salami" in zapiekanka are usually very low quality and it doesn't taste too good, classic zapiekanka much better, mayonnaise is there to make it taste a little better 😉
