Bugger! That makes me hungry for a gid' feedin' O chish & phips! Was stayin' over in downtown Perth Scotland in the summer of 77' at my Auntie's, while the new house was being built South of Ottawa, Canada. Long story short, every night just before 11pm we'd dash down to the Chippers and they'd clean out their vats and wrap everything up in newspaper for a pound note. Never less than 8 pieces of freshly cooked fish and pounds of chips to go with it. The real secret as to why British fish tastes so good is you're never more than 25 miles from the sea, anywhere in Britain👍Try that in Ontario.
