  1. Frankie, this may be the dumbest question you’ve been asked but here goes… Can a person cook more than one kind of beans in the same pan? Or is it not recommended ?

  2. I'm struggling till pay day and have dry beans. as I'm cooking and watching, and being educated as to not salt the beans I til the end of cooking. Done

  3. 2:39 soaking the beans overnight is actually the true frugal move here, as it is a passive time and you use less to NO energy to do it, compared to boiling it longer which uses MORE GAS or ELECTRICITY.
Plus if you do it during summertime, it'll be make cooking and kitchen's situations in general feels like hell and you probably crank the AC to max, which again, use MORE energy.

So, soak your dry beans overnight, folks!

  4. Frozen beans in smoothies! You'll never know they're there! Of course, they'd need to be flavor-free. Garlicy beans in smoothies will not taste good. Haha. Also, that fold-the-zippy-bag-over-to-keep-the-zippy-clean trick may just change my life!

  5. Childhood forever ruined- spoiler alert, this otherwise awesome video gives away the magic of the making of Mr. Ed and makes unfounded claims that the horse talking isn't real!

  6. A 22 min episode!! ❤ This is the reboot we wanted! We got new songs, Frankie's OG SM personality, and a pig squeal! Great job Frankie and production!

  7. So it is possible to make beans tender by simmering longer but we soak them to leach out complex sugars and make them easier to digest so we get less gas 😅

  8. Maybe it's a gene thing like those that think cilantro tastes like soap, or maybe I'm getting the wrong ones but I've never tasted the difference when using/skipping the bay leaf. same with saffron, which the egg donor SWEARS by. It just makes it yellow, which you can get for 1/100th of the price from tumeric…

  9. I cook beans with garlic, onion, celery, and carrot to add flavor and more veg goodness. Beans with kale (or greens of any kind) are a real favorite of mine, but never eggs. I serve it with homemade, freshly milled 100% whole wheat bread. Instead of fancy, my family demands hearty, so our other most popular bean meals are mashed pintos on the same dough above, cooked into flat bread for a fusion of Navajo Tacos and Mexican Tostadas or over brown rice with all sorts of toppings, think salad and salsa. I also use the same dough and toppings in the form of veggie pizza with chickpeas– just vary the legume herbs, and spices. My only protein-heavy food is legumes, usually paired with a whole grain. It's a very inexpensive way to eat and keeps the doctor away, which makes it a double money and health saver. But I've never paid $3 a pound for dry beans.

  10. Hey Frankie, hi again from far south Tasmania👋. Guess what, you are global! 🎉🎉 Mate, it's time to start to start talking METRIC Mr! 😊
The IMPERIAL system is only used in Myanmar, Liberia and USA! 😮😂
Please make the effort to include Grams, Millilitres and Celcius to your wonderful videos.
There are people outside of USA that also struggle with meals.
Your videos of budget recipes are very much appreciated. 😊
