30 Minute Dinner: Teriyaki Pork

For dinner we’re having Teriyaki Pork which is an easy pork recipe to make during the week.

For those who are missing Katelyn, she’s just taking a break from the videos at the moment but will pop back in from time to time.

  1. Glad you included sake in your recipe. I see too many teriyaki recipes where they just have soy sauce, mirin and too much sugar. Sake adds so much to this dish. Great video as always, Andy!

  2. Great mid-week meal recipe! I'm curious, why no ginger? Also, I wish Andy had taken the meat's temperature right before plating this dish because once pork gets much above 150 degrees F, it tends to dry out.

  3. Hi Andy! Would the size of the meat affect the flavour? Would I expect the flavour get infused with a “shallow” amount of sauce? I tend to over-season hence I would add more sauce but want to know your view!

  4. when he try his food he always looks and sounds like he's tasting his kids first ever meal cooked and being nice about it 🤣

  5. Katlyn is missed, but we all appreciate that she needs time off.. We would love to see you when you are in the mood! Great channel! we love you both and the content that you bring

  6. Duck was so hoping for a proper taste test…or at least a lick. Didn’t realise he is such a large potato, he must weigh a ton!
(I’ve only held a frenchie pup once & was surprised by how solid they are, no disrespect to Duck)

  7. 10:38 is this engagement bait? "I guess you could call it a coleslaw but it's more just a cabbage salad"? I'm sure you know as well as I do 'cole slaw' simply means 'cabbage salad'. In fact aren't you half Dutch? You know far better than me…

  8. Why don't you put the sesame oil in the honey container first, the pour it out? Add the only and it will slide out. Makes life easier.

  9. You talked about it briefly in one of your other videos, but would you do a short/reel or do a deeper dive into your kitchen cleaning? The hot soapy water method is awesome, but I've always wondered about the soap residue. Do you need to do an additional rinse or just wipe the suds off a damp towel? Cheers bro

  10. If the centre is the hottest, wouldn't it make sense to start on the outside and work your way in?

  11. Imagine watching a food video on YT, and, in the middle of it, you are presented with some "always" advertisement … AS A MALE, of all things!
I cannot express how UTTERLY disgusted I am right now!
In fact, if I was a toxic person, I'd probably feel like finding out their HQ location, travel there, and [censored]… THAT's how UTTERLY revolting I find this.
Had to abort the video from there.
    FU, YT!

  12. I don't want to post a "negative" comment, especially because this video is really good information. But, there's no distinction between Back of House and Andy Cooks right now. I'm guessing that definitely hurts the algi for both. So, maybe table this channel until either Katelyn has time for it or you have another idea to differentiate it from the main channel.

  13. Hey Andy, I had a quick question about French onion soup – what is your opinion on using red/Spanish onions rather than white or brown ones? I've never seen anyone make it using red onions and am curious how it might turn out but I don't want to sacrifice that much time and onions if the result is gonna suck 😅

  14. Love your videos Andy but this one felt weird. Like the audio for voice is good but the music and sound effects felt very off or that they were cheap/didnt fit. It was also one of the only videos that I clicked away from as it was like radio stations when there was "dead air". Like I said I love your videos and only make this as a constructive criticism vs shitting on your parade. Keep on keepin' on!
