$5 Dinners?! TikTok chef shares viral affordable recipes amid rising food costs

Chef Moe started his platform as a social media chef in 2022 – going viral after his son posted a video of him cooking on TikTok. Since then, he’s amassed a following of 2.2 million people who come to him for advice on how to cook a full meal using only $5 dollars. He joined Connect to talk about what inspired his series– and even showed Jacob Soboroff how good a few bucks can taste.

  1. As a devout Democrat, I humbly request the pillar of moral high ground, MSNOW to fulfill a simple request.

Not many of us are able to prepare our own meals. For me personally, I find it offensive. Could you perhaps give us a demonstrational video on how to prepare a can of soup over the stovetop?

  2. Get a $10 chicken dinner from walmart and make it into three meals… I can't stand eating chicken or eggs for another meal…

  3. Remember how the democrats put Platner on a golden pedestal because they had no one else?
They now have a replacement and HIS name is, Meat Loaf. If you have not seen Meat Loaf you would think I’m making this up…….it is impossible to make this up.😂😂😂😂😂

  4. I feel true empathy for anyone who can't afford to eat healthy in the country. its truly expensive and requires you to give up something else in order to eat on that level. unless of course you hunt deer and grow a vegetable garden in which case you are doing it about as cheap as you can and incredibly healthy on top of it

  5. It's admirable that the chef did this, but it is INEXCUSABLE that mothers, hard working American people, or ANYONE HERE NEEDS THIS IN THE "HOTTEST COUNTRY ON EARTH"….It is utter bullsh*t.

  6. 😊. And, re the unkind comments I've seen here – I'd like to verbalize "thank you" to the Chef and to Mr Soboroff!!

    🇺🇸

  7. Eat affordable food , and you can quit crying about affordability. You may not need food stamps anymore.
