I Couldn’t Stop Dreaming About Filipino Food… So I Went Back
I’ve been thinking about Filipino food ever since my first experience, so I had to visit BFF Turon Pinoy Food Rocks to dive even deeper into authentic Filipino cuisine. In this food vlog, I try an incredible variety of traditional dishes including lechon, chicken adobo, pork adobo, sisig, grilled pork belly, beef kaldereta, pancit noodles, lumpia, tinolang manok, dried fish, Filipino desserts, and more, while learning about the ingredients, culture, and cooking techniques from the amazing staff. Every dish taught me something new and inspired me to keep learning before my upcoming trip to the Philippines. If you enjoy Filipino food, restaurant reviews, food travel, cooking, and discovering authentic international cuisine, I’d love to have you join the journey. Don’t forget to subscribe because next I’ll be recreating these recipes at home, including Filipino bistek and an even better chicken adobo!

What a feast…got me hungry in the middle of the nigth..
Appreciate you trying all those Filipino food. For your reference, the first food she scooped is pork sinigang (sour soup or tamarind soup), second is Sisig, third is lechon kawali, the dried fish they call it jeprox (Filipino slang for โhipsterโ or โcoolโ – pretty much it means fancy dried fish), then beef caldereta (beef stew), then pork adobo, chicken adobo, then talong (purple eggplant) ๐, then grilled pork belly, then monggo soup (mung beans) , then tinolang manok (tinolang chicken – soup simmered in ginger, manok is chicken in Filipino). Bon apetit!
Just to correct: beef caldereta,
Monggo beans
Dried fish/ tuyo
Adobo manok
Pork adobo
Eggplant/ talong
Lechon pork belly
All died food is better in a dipping sauce like spicy vinegar or toyo at calamansi.
Be careful of eating combined fried Filipino food, eating to much in one go will surely make your blood pressure spike almost through the roof! Also those that are salty to the taste would need to be super moderate. Those were meant to be eaten only lightly and not too much!
