Seada

@our_cookingjourney

A traditional dessert from Sardinia – Seadas. It’s a giant ravioli, deep-fried with fresh Pecorino inside, drizzled with honey and garnished with lemon zest and icing sugar. It’s absolutely delicious and one of our signature dishes. Thank you to chef Cinzia from @ilmonastero for demonstrating this for us – many of the ingredients were from the garden and I loved the addition of the orange flowers on top!! You can find my version of Seadas in my new cookbook – link in bio 💙 sardinia italy honey sweet

  1. I love Americans calling themselves "Italian" or "Irish" haha
    By that logic I'm Brazilian/Native Brazilian/Portuguese/French/Luxembourgish and probably others I haven't found the family trees for yet.

  2. "The Godfather" is a cult classic? You keep using that phrase. I don't think it means what you think it means.

  3. 13:00 seada is not made with pecorino romano, it's made with fresh pecorino sardo (sardinian). Just because it's called pecorino it doesnt mean that it's romano. Every region has its flavours, sardinian pecorino is way less salty and creamier than romano.
    If you made it with pecorino romano it's wrong

  4. those desserts all look really good but those zeppoles looks really different form the actual ones lol

  5. 13:08 why does he keep talking about "romano"? 😄 That's a pecorino, a pecorino sardo (which is the original one, pecorino was created in Sardinia). "Romano" just means "Roman" or "from Rome". Seadas have nothing to do with Rome though

  6. Watched this channel on a daily basis for years, I don't know who decided to make videos up to 30 minutes long but it certainly made me fully stop engaging with this channel

  7. A genuine question for Americans: why are you obsessed with being Italian. If your great great grandfather was Italian, it doesn't mean you are Italian too😅 Especially if you do not speak Italian and know nothing about our culture
