The comparison I’ve heard of food at the Portobello Market vs. the Borough Market is that sellers at Borough use high-end ingredients while sellers at Portobello are providing more casual, everyday fare. Another way to put it is that Portobello is for snacking while Borough Market can provide you something more substantial.
That food market looked unbelievably fantastic. The prices seemed quite reasonable. In regards to eating internationally, I lean towards Chinese (mapo tofu, bao) and Japanese (tamago, goyza with veg or fish filling, mochi with red bean paste). Also give me a matcha latte with almond milk to be my bff or at least be on a first name basis until I finish the latte😜.
This is my kind of place. I like seeing the the food rather than reading a description on a menu. There are so many places with a wide variety too.

JACKPOT Hannah. You can't go wrong here. When I return home, my partner in Crime, my sister-in-law, Terry and I always hit these stalls; great taste and great value for money. Street food at its best. Yes, we love the higher-end restaurants as well, but when on the run, being a local or a tourist, this market and others like this are the places to be. I live in Melbourne, and the food scene here has always been multicultural and global and high quality. It's winter here at the moment, so the Paella is a go-to for me as a chef.

Wow everything really looked yummy and colorful for summer, so fresh and delicious ❤ It is great how many different tents of countries foods were represented! Having a full day of rain today here with road flooding as well so seeing a beautiful sunny day with delicious food brighten my spirit ❤ and made me hungry 😂
