Learn how to make delicious roasted red pepper hummus right at home! This recipe is super easy with a few tricks to make a nice, smooth and delicious hummus. Use as a dip for veggie sticks, pita crisps, crackers, or as a healthier sandwich spread. Better than store bought and cheaper too. 😉

What you’ll need:
1 (15oz) can chickpeas (Neither a chick nor a pea. Discuss…)
2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 Tbsp sesame tahini
1/4 cup roasted red pepper
2 cloves garlic
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp salt

Bring a medium saucepan of water to a boil on high heat. Rinse and drain chickpeas. Shell the beans to remove the skins. Discard skins and cook chickpeas in boiling water for 5 minutes. Drain and run under cool water to stop the cooking process.
Add to a food process along with remaining ingredients and process until smooth.
Transfer to a bowl, cover and refrigerate for 4-6 hours to let the flavors infuse and meld together. Serve with veggie sticks, pita chips, crackers or use as a sandwich spread. Makes just over 1 cup of hummus. Enjoy!
